Heading north into the stunning High Weald National Landscape, attractions include Brede Steam Giants, the Carr Taylor vineyard, Great Dixter House and Gardens, Bodiam Castle, and English Heritage’s 1066 Battle of Hastings, Abbey and Battlefield site, all within 9 miles. Heading east along the coast, the picturesque medieval coastal town of Rye (12 miles) is known for Camber Sands, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and Camber Castle.
