Set in the picturesque village of Ashley, this delightful cottage is ideally located for couples and small families wishing to explore the beauty of the Suffolk countryside. Just 4 miles from the world-famous town of Newmarket – the home of British horse racing – it is perfect for racegoers and history lovers alike. The village itself offers the convenience of a local store and a welcoming pub, both within walking distance, adding to the ease and charm of your stay. The surrounding area is rich with scenic walking and cycling routes, characterful villages and traditional country pubs to discover. Bury St Edmunds, with its historic abbey gardens and bustling market, is just 13 miles away, while the cathedral city of Ely lies 18 miles to the north. Wicken Fen, a stunning National Trust nature reserve, is only 15 miles away.

As you step through the front door, you are welcomed into a useful porch area, ideal for kicking off muddy boots and hanging coats after countryside rambles. From here, you enter the cosy and inviting living room, where two comfortable sofas and a smart TV create the perfect spot for relaxing after a day out. The wood burner adds warmth and charm, making this a lovely place to unwind whatever the season. Moving through to the rear of the cottage, the kitchen/diner is light and well equipped, with everything needed for a self-catered stay. Also on the ground floor is a modern family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Upstairs, the cottage has two beautifully presented bedrooms. The main bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed, dressed in soft linens and thoughtfully decorated to create a calm and restful atmosphere. The second bedroom is set up as a twin, making it ideal for children, friends, or additional family members.

To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed garden with a lawned area and furnished patio, ideal for al fresco dining or simply enjoying the fresh air. Parking is on-street and subject to availability.

The Cottage was located in the beautiful Eastern Cambridgeshire countryside. A very nice village, and a beautiful warm property, which was very nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained.
