In a picturesque rural location just 2 miles away from Brecon, this rustic holiday home offers a comfortable base surrounded by dazzling views – an ideal destination for a family of four. Nearby Brecon lies at the heart of the surrounding Brecon Beacons National Park, a lively and vibrant town on the northern edge of the mountain range. It’s home to a choice of independently owned shops and local pubs; it hosts the annual Brecon Jazz Festival and serves as a central point for all kinds of walking, hiking, and mountain biking excursions. Follow the River Usk from the centre of town into the depths of the national park, trying your hand at canoeing or simply hiking along its footpath. Alternatively, start your journey at the Brecon Canal Basin (2 miles) and explore the mighty Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal on foot or by bike.

On arrival, park up and take a few steps down into the property’s courtyard – your first opportunity to admire this chocolate-box cottage. Once inside, exposed stone walls and original beams add to the overall provincial charm, while it’s clear the owners have taken great care to update it to a contemporary, comfortable standard. Enter the lounge/diner, a cosy and inviting space with a wood burner set to one side and ample seating options for relaxing and dining. In the evenings, you can switch on the Smart TV and listen to the crackle of the fire – utter relaxation. Next door, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need, including laundry facilities and a coffee machine. Stairs from here lead up to a spacious landing, where two bedrooms and a family shower room can be accessed. The first room, a generous king-size, also features its own en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom features twin beds.

Take a moment to step out through the front door and soak up the serene atmosphere of the courtyard outside. This paved space is surrounded by greenery and beautiful views, and offers outdoor dining when the sun shines. Finally, the property provides off-road parking for two cars.
