You’ll be perfectly placed for trips to the seaside, with many of Norfolk’s finest beaches (such as Brancaster within 6 miles of the cottage and Wells-Next-The-Sea within 12 miles). Keen walkers will be in their element, with the long-distance Peddars Way passing just outside the village, and the stunning Norfolk Coast Path accessible just 5 miles away. For shopping and eating out, the bustling Georgian village of Burnham Market makes a lovely day out, boasting over 30 independent retailers. Other excursions from the cottage include the Royal Sandringham Estate, Castle Rising, RSPB Titchwell, and Holkham Hall, all within 15 miles.
The traditional brick and flint cottage oozes personality and charm, with beautiful original features coupled with cute, country-cottage decor and an array of homely touches. The heart of the home is a characterful kitchen with a tiled floor, exposed beam, and ornamental brick fireplace. Rustle up hearty meals for the group here, which you can share at the dining table (with an array of chairs and bench-style seating) in the bright and inviting dining room. After dinner, retire to the cosy lounge to watch the Sky TV, listen to music on the record player, or read a book in the glow of the roaring wood burner. Upstairs, two inviting king-size bedrooms await, both with plush linens and a delicate pastel colour scheme. On the landing you’ll find a peaceful reading nook, and this floor is rounded off with a refreshing family bathroom.
Outside, to the rear of the property, is a cute, enclosed courtyard garden with a small table and chairs, perfect for a morning coffee. There’s also a bench at the front of the cottage for sitting and watching the world go by, this is a great sunny spot in the afternoon. On-street parking is available directly outside the cottage.
