A lovely Welsh country cottage, this welcoming hideaway makes a great choice for multi-generational families. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom abode sits in beautiful gardens near the village of Bronington, in Wrexham County Borough, close to the border with England and 3.5 miles from Whitchurch. Ideal for exploring both the rolling countryside of North Wales and Shropshire, it is 15.5 miles from the beautiful Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape and 21.5 miles from famous Llangollen, with its celebrated International Eisteddfod and enchanting scenery. Head into Whitchurch to potter in the shops, dine out and browse the colourful market stalls, or Ellesmere (7 miles) with its quaint high street and woodland, lake and canalside walks. Alderford Lake, 4 miles away, is superb for hiring paddleboards, open water swimming and letting the children lose in the aquapark. Stride out on walks straight from the cottage and reach a national nature reserve within just half a mile, or venture 13 miles to explore Hawkstone Park Follies, with its magical trails. Visit Bewilderwood (9 miles), for magical woodland family adventures.

Enter your new home from home through the back door to find yourselves in the utility room. Kick off your boots, dry your four-legged friend and pop any damp towels straight into the machine. A handy shower room and WC can also be found here. Head on through to the kitchen/diner where sunshine streams in via the skylight windows on fine days. Cook delicious roasts on the range cooker or prepare a quick treat in the air fryer, then call everyone to the table. One of your bedrooms, a double that could suit a party member with limited mobility, can be found next to the kitchen. Also downstairs is your lovely, dual-aspect lounge. Enjoy the tranquillity, privacy and lush green scenery as you relax on the enclosed patio with a newly installed jacuzzi hot tub being installed on 20th March 2026. Keep an eye on children and dogs as they play on the grass, which is not enclosed. Soak up the sunshine and dine at a picnic table or on the patio. A private driveway leads to the property and, together with the undercover garage area, offers space for up to five cars. There is also secure storage for bikes and outdoor equipment.

The cottage was very well equipped, everything in the kitchen we could need. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the lovely large garden and views, plus an outdoor dining and seating area in the shade. A short drive to shops and restaurants and good local walks with the dogs.

Exceptional. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and the cottage was wonderfully comfortable, superbly equipped and very well looked after, clean and fresh throughout. We had both dogs and young children, and the large, well kept gardens, were safe and fantastic for them, not to mention the extensive walks on the doorstep. This was the perfect cottage for Christmas and exceeded our expectations in every way. The setting was absolutely lovely, with a peaceful and tranquil location that made it ideal for a relaxing festive break. We especially loved that the cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which really added to the atmosphere and made it feel cosy and Read morespecial from the moment we arrived. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed spending Christmas here and made some wonderful memories during our time at the cottage. The surrounding area was fantastic, and we particularly enjoyed the dog walks right at the end of the lane, which were a real highlight and perfect for getting out and about each day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and Christmas at the cottage and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, getaway. Hide
