This charming two-bedroom cottage in Skeeby is perfect for couples, with a friendly community-run pub serving local food and ales right next door. Surrounded by the rolling landscapes of Swaledale and the Yorkshire Dales, the area is a dream for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers alike. Just 2.5 miles away, Richmond is a bustling market town where you can wander the cobbled Market Place, browse the weekly and monthly farmers’ markets. While away a few hours wandering down Richmond’s winding streets brimming with independent shops, cosy tearooms and welcoming pubs. History lovers will enjoy exploring Richmond Castle, a striking Norman fortress with panoramic views and riverside walks leading to dramatic waterfalls. For a change of pace, visit The Station – a beautifully restored Victorian railway building with its own cinema, art gallery, real ale brewery and ice cream parlour.

Inside, the terraced cottage is full of character, with original ceiling beams, feature fireplaces and painted wooden floorboards. The tastefully decorated living room contains floral armchairs and a cosy wood burner, with vintage travel posters on the walls to inspire your next adventure. Take a few steps down to reach the farmhouse-style kitchen with stone flooring, a range cooker to inspire your inner chef and a circular wooden table for relaxed mealtimes. A little way along the corridor, a step up leads to a handy utility room. When it’s time to turn in for the night, head upstairs to where two beautifully presented bedrooms await – one with a double bed and the other with a small double. The shower room is equally inviting, with striking deep green tiles and a corner shower.

Outside, a fantastic garden provides plenty of spots to relax, including a peaceful spot at the top for soaking in the views, plus a BBQ for al fresco feasts in good weather.
