A lovely coastal retreat for a family or couples, this inviting cottage captures far-reaching coastal views. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom property is situated at Seaton Sluice and just 650 metres from the sandy beach, which is a favourite with surfers, swimmers and bird spotters. Enjoy a picnic in the dunes or stroll to one of the popular pub/restaurants to dine out. Walk or cycle along the Coastal Path to popular Whitley Bay (3 miles), taking in St Mary’s Lighthouse on the way, with its sweeping coastal vistas. Explore Spanish City for more restaurants and ice cream treats. Tynemouth, with its fabulous Longsands beach, historic Priory, weekend market, and great village amenities is under 6 miles. Take the metro for a day trip to the bright lights of vibrant Newcastle, 11.5 miles away, to shop and dine out.

Five stone steps lead up to the front door of this welcoming holiday home. Enter to hang coats and slip flip-flops or walking boots off before heading through to the lovely lounge/diner, with its trendy, mid-20th-century style. Choose a board game to play or recline on the comfortable seating with a good book. Find a film on the Smart TV that everyone will enjoy later, or simply unwind and take in the views. Gather round the large table for meals or to deal a hand or two of cards. The kitchen, which is accessed via the hall, has a modern finish and has been designed to ensure you have everything you need to help you cater for your party with ease. Open the door to the courtyard garden as you cook on warm summer days. A handy WC is also located downstairs. Your bedrooms are all positioned on the first floor of the cottage. These include two doubles, one of which benefits from a lovely sea view. There is also a bunk bedroom that looks out towards the harbour and is perfect for children. The family bathroom, where you can choose between a bath and a shower, completes the accommodation.

Decide whether to soak up the sunshine at the front or back of the house. The front patio, which is not fully enclosed, features a bench seat and a low table and is ideal for afternoon tea. Take your coffee out to the enclosed rear patio to enjoy the morning sunshine. Those with four-legged friends needing a quick stroll before bed will find access to Hollywell dene via the front path. We really enjoyed our stay in Cinderhill Cottage. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, quiet and with a good shower. Great views from the cottage too. Location was perfect for us with a lovely walk up Seaton Burn as well as the beach and estuary. Newcastle/Tynemouth/Whitley Bay close by. Thank you for letting us stay.

This was one of the cleanest and best decorated holiday home we have stayed in. Comfortable beds and seating. Lovely views and a great location. Two grocery shops and excellent pub/restaurants nearby. Plus walks along the burn and the coast.

This is a really clean and comfortable holiday home. The bathroom in particular is very nice, with an impressive shower. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped. It is hard to fault. The location is really interesting, with lovely walks to the coast and up the river. Highly recommended.

We were delighted with this property. Our Grandchildren were delighted with their bookcase, bedroom and the games. We thought the provision for a family was excellent. We have a friend in the area and would stay again.

Bliss! A fabulous well furnished property only a few minutes walk away from the beach! It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We had a wonderful time here and can't wait to come back.
