To the north, the thriving resort of Ilfracombe (8 miles) features a wealth of great pubs, cafes and restaurants, with a bustling harbour offering boat trips out to the idyllic island of Lundy. Walkers can follow the South West Coast Path to Baggy Point (6.5 miles) and Morte Point (7.5 miles) or you can head north-west to the outskirts of the breathtaking Exmoor National Park (8.5 miles).
