The property sits opposite St Mary’s Church, close to the canal, with the beautiful Sydney Gardens just a short stroll away (about 300 metres). This corner of the city is also home to Henrietta Park, The Rec – home of Bath Rugby, and the fascinating Holburne Museum. Heading west, a half-mile walk will take you across the River Avon and into the main part of Bath where you will find a host of historic sites including the Assembly Rooms, Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths, as well as venues and attractions such as the Theatre Royal, Komedia, the Jane Austen Centre and the Pump Room.

Entering the beautifully updated property, the charming lobby has space for hanging coats before you head through to the hall and upstairs. On the first floor, you will find the cheery open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner providing a relaxing space for you all to unwind in. The lounge has a big bay window looking out towards the church, with comfortable seating and a TV. The dining table is at the centre of the room, with a handmade kitchen area to the rear. Back downstairs, the ground floor has another bedroom with a king-size bed, a little dressing area and access to a Jack and Jill bathroom (also accessed from the hallway) with a shower over the bath and a WC. There’s a handy utility room downstairs with a sink, storage space, a washing machine, a dryer and a freezer.

Heading outside, you will have a useful parking space at the front of the property. Although the cottage has no outside space of its own, Sydney Gardens, the Rec and Henrietta Park all offer tranquil green spaces for you to unwind in.

My family and I loved our stay and will be sure to return. A beautifully and comfortably decorated home, new carpets throughout, great beds and towels. Everything was in super condition, and the owner was very helpful and flexible. Highly recommended! A quiet and safe lane with parking at the front door.

Great stay! Lovely place in a perfect location for Bath town centre but also getting to other places. To also have a car parking space in Bath centre is golden! Would definitely recommend.

Ideal location and special accommodation in central Bath! We stayed at the cottage for two weeks using it as our base and enjoyed every moment. The cottage is charming, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The bespoke furnishings and decor are of superior quality. The property is located in a beautiful and historically significant area. Chrissy, Read morethe owner, lives nearby and is very gracious, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend staying here! Hide
