Offering cheerful and welcoming accommodation for up to four guests, this delightful getaway is a great base for couples and smaller families enjoying a break on the outskirts of the historic city of Bath. The property sits opposite St Mary’s Church, close to the canal, with the beautiful Sydney Gardens just a short stroll away (about 300 metres). This corner of the city is also home to Henrietta Park, The Rec – home of Bath Rugby, and the fascinating Holburne Museum. Heading west, a half-mile walk will take you across the River Avon and into the main part of Bath where you will find a host of historic sites including the Assembly Rooms, Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths, as well as venues and attractions such as the Theatre Royal, Komedia, the Jane Austen Centre and the Pump Room.
Entering the beautifully updated property, the charming lobby has space for hanging coats before you head through to the hall and upstairs. On the first floor, you will find the cheery open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner providing a relaxing space for you all to unwind in. The lounge has a big bay window looking out towards the church, with comfortable seating and a TV. The dining table is at the centre of the room, with a handmade kitchen area to the rear. This floor also has a tastefully decorated bedroom with a large skylight and a refreshing en-suite shower room; this bedroom has a lovely king-size bed which can be made up as twin beds on request. Back downstairs, the ground floor has another bedroom with a king-size bed, a little dressing area and access to a Jack and Jill bathroom (also accessed from the hallway) with a shower over the bath and a WC. There’s a handy utility room downstairs with a sink, storage space, a washing machine, a dryer and a freezer.
Heading outside, you will have a useful parking space at the front of the property. Although the cottage has no outside space of its own, Sydney Gardens, the Rec and Henrietta Park all offer tranquil green spaces for you to unwind in.
