Set within a small complex of glamping units on a working farm, this comfortable getaway is ideal for groups travelling together, and sleeps up to eight people. The site is in the small village of Barsham in the Waveney Valley, a great base for gentle walks, bird watching or simply enjoying the fresh air and reconnecting with nature. In the Georgian market town of Beccles, (3 miles), you can explore the shops, markets and eateries, swim in the lido or hire a canoe, kayak or boat and cruise along the River Waveney. For a day at the coast, Southwold (15.5 miles) offers a sand-and-shingle beach, an Edwardian pier, a boating lake, brewery tours and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. History lovers should head to Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, one of the finest Victorian stately homes in the country (13.5 miles), while Norwich, with its array of historic buildings, is just 20 miles away.
Stroll across the covered decking to enter your impressive safari tent. Inside, you’ll find a sociable, open-plan living space with comfortable seating (including a sofa bed), a wood burner and a dining table that seats up to eight people. The large wooden cupboard is actually a cabin bed – open the double doors and inside is the cutest enclosed space, perfectly private for two people, and with storage beneath. Behind the lounge area is the compact, double-galley-style kitchen, which includes a two-ring hob, a fridge, an air fryer and a slow cooker – everything the chef of the holiday will need to create tasty meals for the group. There are two further bedrooms, a double and a twin, and completing the glamping experience is a fully functioning bathroom with a shower, WC and small changing area.
This outdoorsy experience comes complete with a firepit/BBQ next to the tent where you can grill delicious delicacies or skewer a marshmallow and toast it over the flames. Children can play on the large, shared expanse of grass – there are even outdoor toys provided – as the adults relax around your picnic table. As for parking, you can pull up right next to the tent.
