This spacious cottage has been decorated with great care to create a comfortable welcome for couples, families or friends. The lovely village of Cley-next-the-Sea is famous for its 18th-century windmill and proximity to one of the UK’s best nature reserves for bird watching. Unique shops include a smokehouse, bookshop and pottery studio, and there’s an excellent deli just around the corner from the cottage, too. The shingle beach is just over a mile away and is a great place for a stroll. For more walks, take the coast path to Holme-next-the-Sea, which joins the Peddars Way National Trail. From Blakeney, 1.5 miles away, you can take a boat trip to see England’s largest grey seal colony, and in Holt, 4 miles from home, you’ll find shops, galleries and places to eat. For sandy beaches and a traditional seaside vibe, Sheringham and Cromer are both within 13 miles.

This impressive period cottage has been elegantly refurbished to provide a wonderful blend of character and modern convenience. The ground floor boasts both a snug and a lounge, each with a Smart TV for streaming your favourite shows. The snug has a wood burner, too, tucked into a large brick fireplace: perfect for a cosy winter’s evening after a day spent exploring the area. The kitchen/diner is a handsome room with an apex ceiling, dark-painted cabinets and Luxury Vinyl flooring. The cook can set to work whipping up fabulous holiday meals before settling around the farmhouse-style dining table with room for everyone to relax over dinner. A small double bedroom (with a 4’ bed) is conveniently located on the ground floor and features an en-suite shower room. The other two gorgeous bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, are on the first floor, tucked under the eaves, sharing a stunning family bathroom with a large, walk-in shower and a fabulous roll-top bath.

From the stable door in the kitchen, you can access the patio and the enclosed lawn – a wonderful spot for children and your pet to play as you enjoy the fresh air. There is free parking 100 metres away at the village hall.

We had a lovely stay at The Cottage and found the area delightful, great for dog walks and great for eating close by, good access for nearby villages etc. The Cottage is very peaceful and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. North Norfolk is our new favourite place, the beach on your doorstep in the countryside, perfect!

Lovely cottage, in excellent order throughout. Imaginative decor and consideration given to comfort in every room, a pleasure to go home to at the end of each busy day. Enjoyed the countryside and beaches in spite of a chill wind and lots to see and do in the area. Many very good eateries within walking distance of the cottage. Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Everything you could need for a holiday. Even down to a wheelbarrow to help you bring bags from your car. Very comfortable, peaceful retreat to get away from it all.

The Cottage was absolutely beautiful. Clean and immaculately decorated and styled throughout. Plenty of storage options and everything you could possibly need to hand. The two living rooms were really useful when staying with other family members or children. The garden was spacious and contained for dogs and children with beautifully kept flowers Read moreand plenty of seating. The whole place felt homely and cosy and was a delight to stay in, with a few lovely pubs in walking distance and a great spot to be based for enjoying the Norfolk Coast and surrounding areas. The only challenge was the walk from the village hall car park to the cottage. Although not particularly far (a few mintues), it was a deep gravel path on a slight hill so was a challenge for elderly and children and pushing the pram on especially in the rain when you wanted to get to the cottage quickly from the car). Overall, a lovely little spot that I would absolutely recommend and come to again! Hide

This cottage is really spacious and luxurious. We absolutely loved it and didnt want to leave. The garden is beautiful with enough space for kids to run around, plus the playground is so close you can pop whenever you like. The snug space was a winner and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!
