Stepping into the heart of the home, the expansive and thoughtfully designed kitchen with a characterful beamed ceiling is ready to host the chef of the party while they whip up holiday feasts. Sip morning coffee at the breakfast bar while you decide on the day’s itinerary. The adjoining breakfast room boasts a wonderful long table for special, celebratory meals, as well as a crackling wood burner for added ambience. There are additional wood burners in the tastefully designed sitting room and the main lounge. Both of these spaces offer comfortable seating to relax on, 50” Smart TVs and dual-aspect windows which allow plenty of natural light to flood the spaces. The sitting room is thoughtfully stocked with toys and books for all ages, and children will also love to spend time in the caringly equipped playroom. For an evening of family-friendly fun, head into the games room for a table tennis or darts tournament. There were 4 families that spent 6 days there including 7 children ages range from 2 to 10 years. We couldnt fault anything as we all had a fabulous time. We got there on the bank holiday and we were treated to our own flying display from the nearby airfield with vintage air displays.. amazing The grown ups and children had endless fun in the hoRead moret tub and padel court. We did have to accompany the children over to the courts as it was a bit of a rough terrain but all was well. Loppington has a wonderful pub and because we had such good weather was able to walk and enjoy a well earned glass of good wine . Recommended. Fabulous host who couldnt do enough for us, Amazing location and wonderful venue . Many thanks Hide

This property is absolutely stunning! It was prestinely clean and the decor was homely but stylish. The kitchen had everything you need and more andit was easy to cook for 13 people in it. The lounges were comfy and there were plenty of seats for all. We loved the Paddle court - a real bonus - and the games room was fun. We couldn't fault any of iRead moret. Beds were comfy and beautifully fitted our and bathrooms were all fantastic. The only down side was the hot tub. Having to fill/heat/ drain and clean the hot tub on a daily basis if we wanted to use it was a pain. The whole process takes on excess of 4 hours. Luckily we had a member of our party that enjoys doing things like that or we wouldn't of been able to use it past day 1. I don't think guests should arrive at their destination and then spend hours getting the tub ready. I think it should be warm and ready on arrival. It was lovely once ready! Hide

We were a party of 15 for our 3-night stay at Burlton Grange. It is a beautiful house and has been renovated to an extremely high standard and is very well equipped. Having a bedroom on the ground floor was great for elderly parents but it is close to the dining area so we made good use of the lounge areas as well to minimise noise. The padel courtRead more was a great feature as it was enjoyed by young and old. The only downside for us about the property was that the hot-tub does not have jets and therefore no bubbles however, it did heat up nicely with full instructions on how to do this. Overall, we had a fabulous stay. Hide

We had an amazing stay! Our multi-generational family all agreed the house was spacious, full of character and beautifully designed. The attention to detail was lovely, with thoughtful touches like the personalised OS Map making it feel like a really special place and the welcome hamper was a wonderful treat. The ground floor bedroom was ideal for Read moremy elderly parents so they could stay close to all the action! The two staircases and the bedrooms upstairs were ideal for our party of 11. Kirsty and David were so friendly and helpful, with great advice about places to visit and always on hand to make sure we had the best time. Saw Charles Darwin's house, the worlds first iron bridge, abbey ruins, and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, all of which are easy to reach from the house. We had a brilliant day trip to Snowdonia and even managed to get tickets for the train up Snowdon reaching the summit was unforgettable. The highlight for us, though, was the private padel court. The kids absolutely loved it and never wanted to leave, playing on it at all hours!! Add in the hot tub for some evening relaxation, and it really was the perfect getaway. Highly recommend! Hide
