Wander along the River Spey (4 miles), spot the Centre of Scotland Stone (25 min walk) as you soak up the calming Cairngorms atmosphere, or head to the car park at the base of the mighty Cairngorm Mountain (29 miles) to challenge yourselves with a rewarding hike. Those keen on sports at a slower pace will love Newtonmore Golf Club, just 5.5 miles away, along with the golfing practice area available on site.

On arrival, leave any outdoor gear and outerwear in the large, heated porch – a welcome sight after a walk in wet weather. A nice rural location , welcome pack waiting for us upon arrival, tea, coffee , biscuits , milk and even a dog treat. Cottage clean and with various kitchen equipment, plus wood for the log burner . No supermarket nearby so do a shop before coming but this was expected due to the rural location. A nice warm and cozy cottage , had a small patio areRead morea with table and chairs . loved the cottage, its was perfect for our break, the location is excellent for getting around to see the many sights in the area and only an hours drive to inverness you wont miss anything you plan to do. the cottage had everything we needed to relax after a long day exploring.
