Beautifully newly decorated cottage, very peaceful and in a good position in quiet village handy for The Sun pub. Garden is not secure for dogs *(which was disappointing)* -the fence is low at end of garden and larger dogs could easily jump over. Small dogs could get through the large mesh next to the patio. The inside downstairs is good forRead more dogs, dogs are not allowed upstairs. Log burner heats main room well but kitchen stays chilly even with burner on. Main room does not stay warm enough in March without the log burner on and there is no option for adjusting the central heating - you can easily buy logs a few doors up though. Small issue but there are only two big pans, one very small one and a small frying pan, I'd suggest the owners get few more options, was tricky cooking for two. Overall a really lovely stay, quiet location, nice sunsets and great location to venture out from on day trips Hide

We loved our stay here, the cottage has a lovely feel & the views from the windows are spectacular. The cottage is well equipped, we enjoyed a game of lake district Monopoly from the games chest, the kitchen had everything & basic items like kitchen foil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, hand wash, kitchen roll etc were provided. The dog ruleRead mores are that dogs need to stay downstairs and aren't allowed on the furniture. The garden is fenced but would be easily escapable by a more adventurous dog than ours. There's a gate into the field just outside the front door so plenty of space to run around. Kids enjoyed the swings in the village & playing in the stream. Hide

A very nice, warm, clean and comfortable cottage. The cottage is well decorated and homely. This cottage offers great views of the village and outlooking onto the fells. The cottage is very well stocked with cooking things and utensils. The cottage is in a beautiful and prefect location for walking from the door, to explore the fells or only a shorRead moret drive to local attractions. The cottage is perfect for walkers, families and dogs. Dogs are only allowed on the ground floor but still plenty of room for them and a enclosed garden area. Lovely friendly pub within the village and a 3-4 minute walk from the cottage. Worth a visit for the amazing food but would recommend booking in advance as they can be quiet busy. This cottage is well worth the money and I would defiantly recommend it. Hide

What a wonderful place to stay! The cottage was clean, comfortable and had all the kitchen equipment needed. The views are wonderful and the proximity to the dog-friendly pub just made our week. The only issue was that the fence in the garden is way too low to keep even a small dog safe/secure. Ours had to be on her lead when in the garden. Except Read morefor this, wed definitely recommend the cottage for a relaxing stay or an active walking holiday. Hide

The cottage was lovely. It was in a fantastic location and was very clean. We would certainly book again (although it probably isnt as dog friendly as it suggests).

This is a weird needful cottage. One of the best we (older couple) have stayed in. The kitchen picture window over looking the sheep field is fantastic. We were very impressed by the heat pump and underfloor heating. It was a perfect temperature.

We loved the cottage, especially the views all around. Some of us struggled with the stairs, please mention this if elderly are to stay. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and quietness. Such a lovely village.
