We had to come home two days early because the unpleasant smell, coming either from the septic tank or from rot meant that we had to sleep with all the windows open. To date we have had no response to our complaint.

A lovely cottage, very thoughtfully designed, converted to a high standard, clean, and well equipped. Bedrooms and bathroom were warm, with comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, and an amazing shower! The upstairs living room was cooler - the temperature outside was sub zero - and we appreciated the blankets provided on the chairs during the eRead morevenings. Our 6 year old loved the corner with the beanbag floor cushion, and the kitchenette, although tiny, worked really well. We found the cottage altogether quiet, comfortable, and livable, and absolutely loved staying there. We used it as a base for exploring the area - mostly historic buildings - and found travel convenient, with the main road just a few hundred yards away at the end of the village. Highly recommended. Stayed for a week and really enjoyed our time there. The property is well equipped, everything works, is clean and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable. WiFi was excellent. Balcony, although small was a good place for a glass of wine in the sunset. Good local farm shops who sell their own frozen meals and pies. Would highly recommend.

We were very impressed with the accommodation, very comfortable, especially the beds, well equipped with lots of toys and books for our 1 year old Grandson. The owners, Mandy and Ben, were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of places to visit and lovely walks in the area. We will book again as still lots to explore.

A wonderful stay. The hosts were really friendly and helpful with any questions we had either about things to do or anything to do with the stay. They were also flexible with our holiday dates. The property was in great condition and had everything you need for a staycation, exactly as the pictures. We had a great week and were very comfortable in Read moreour home from home. Hide
