What a wonderful holiday home, which has been beautifully renovated. The views sitting outside on the bench were simply stunning. Our family were very comfortable and had everything we needed, the kitchen was very well equipped. We also used the barbeque provided with a separate picnic bench. There are stunning walks from the cottage which are notRead more too challenging, we saw waterfalls, castles and climbed bird rock at sunset which was breath-taking. We also drove to Abderdovey and had a beach day with great fish and chips. The village pub did lovely food and we ate there a couple of times. It was also great to chat with Dai (the owner) about his farming life. I would totally recommend staying here. Hide

We have had the most wonderful week at the beautiful Pen Y Garreg Y Cwrt. The farmhouse was perfect and fully equipped with everything our family of 5 plus dog needed. It has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. The local goodies that greeted us on our arrival were very much appreciated after a long journey. Read more The beds were super comfy and the shower first class. The views over the village and to the hills beyond were unreal. We spent a lot of time sitting out on the bench just looking- at the sheep, the comings and goings in the village, the train on the opposite hill and the occasional plane from the Mach loop. We spotted sparrow hawks, buzzards and kestrels. If you can tear yourself away from the view there were lots of things to keep us busy. We enjoyed beach days at the coast, mountain biking at Coed y Brenin, walks and trail runs from the door, days on the mountains watching planes flying through the Mach loop, fish and chips at Aberdovey. The craft centre at Corris is well worth a visit. We walked to the station and got an explorer ticket for the steam train. The pub in the village was lovely for an evening meal and drinks in the beer garden. Our boys loved the playground next door to the pub and enjoyed paddling in the little river down there too. It was great to meet the owners, Sarah and Dei and hear all about the farmhouse and their farm down the road. They are lovely people who made us feel very welcome and had lots of tips and advice about the local area. Thank you. Looking forward to returning at some point to do all the things we didnt have time for! Hide
