Nestled in the peaceful village of Baconsthorpe, this quintessential Norfolk cottage makes a relaxing base for couples and families. It has three comfortable bedrooms and is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, which makes for gorgeous views from the windows and garden. Nearby is the vibrant Georgian town of Holt (2 miles), known for its quirky shops and cafés, plus the opportunity to hop on the steam train for a scenic ride to the Victorian seaside town of Sheringham (5.5 miles). Here you can join the Norfolk Coast Path for dreamy walks. The stunning North Norfolk coast is easy to explore, with Salthouse (7 miles), Cromer (8.5 miles), and Wells-next-the-Sea (15 miles) all within reach. Nearby highlights include the magical Thursford Christmas Spectacular (10 miles), the stately National Trust property of Felbrigg Hall (8 miles) Sheringham Park (3 miles), where coastal views go on for miles.

Enter this semi-detached home into a welcoming hallway that leads to a snug lounge, then flows into a light and airy open-plan kitchen and dining area with elegant wooden accents. After days out by the sea, you can sink into one of the sofas and spark up the wood burner for a quiet evening in, perhaps with a film on the Smart TV. The kitchen is sectioned off by an archway, keeping it connected yet distinct. At the back is a bright conservatory with sofas for reading – this is also where you’ll find the washing machine. A downstairs WC with elegant mushroom-toned walls completes the ground floor. Upstairs are two king-size bedrooms and a bunk room that’s well-suited to children, along with a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. One of the king-size rooms has far-reaching countryside views – a wonderful way to start each day.

The conservatory opens into a charming garden with outdoor furniture, allowing you to enjoy meals in the fresh air and soak up your rural surroundings. Private off-road parking for two cars is available on the driveway at the front.
