Stay at this gorgeous four-bedroom family home for a dreamy beach getaway with your crew (doggie guests also welcome). It’s set right on the pebbled shores of Ringstead Bay, a peaceful spot with little more than a charming cafe and sweeping coastal views. Iconic natural landmarks abound nearby, including Durdle Door (5 miles) and Lulworth Cove (5.5 miles) which you can easily walk to. History buffs will adore exploring the Jordan Hill Roman Temple (4 miles). The vibrant seaside town of Weymouth (7 miles) is home to sandy beaches, a crescent-shaped bay and Jurassic Skyline. From here, head to the Isle of Portland (13.5 miles) for more excellent walks and rock climbing. Looking inland, Lulworth Castle (13 miles) and Dorchester (8.5 miles) are well worth a visit – especially if you're a Thomas Hardy fan. Stop by Max Gate, his former home, or venture to his birthplace in Higher Bockhampton (10 miles).
A gravel drive and five-bar gate welcome you to this spacious semi-detached retreat. Step inside to find a handy utility room (with a washing machine) on one side and a WC on the other. Further along the hall is the heart of the home – a fabulous open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area that opens up to the garden and pool. Perfect for sociable suppers, the large dining table sits beside a modern kitchen. The lounge has a comfortable L-shaped sofa, a Smart TV, and sliding doors leading to the garden. One bedroom is on the ground floor – a king-size with en-suite shower and WC. Upstairs, a galleried landing with a picture window gives you your first panoramic sea view. This floor includes a shower room with a WC, a flexible twin/super-king-size bedroom and a spacious family bedroom with a king-size bed, a single, and an additional pull-out bed (on request). This room also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a shower and WC. There’s also a double bedroom with en-suite shower and WC.
The outdoor area is a playground for fun, with a fully enclosed garden, a raised sun deck with stunning sea views, private steps down to the beach, and a pool heated from May to September (weather dependent). A summer house with a sofa bed, TV, fridge, shower room and WC provides an extra chill-out zone. There’s also a gas BBQ for al fresco feasts, plus private parking for four cars (and a fifth space available in an adjacent car park). Please note: a static caravan within the boundary is used as an office but is unoccupied during guest stays.
