This lovely cottage, set in an idyllic and peaceful Ringstead hamlet, with an easily accessible shingle beach, is a wonderful choice for families or friends who want to explore the Jurassic Coast and the many attractions in this part of Dorset. It’s set mid-way between Weymouth (7.5 miles) and Lulworth Cove (11.5 miles), with the market town of Dorchester 9 miles inland. There’s so much to do in the area, starting with invigorating walks on the beach, only 100 metres from your front door, or perhaps even a dip in the sea. There is also a nice café just a short walk away. Take a look at the Osmington White Horse, carved into the hill 5 miles inland, or head into Weymouth for the Sea Life Centre, Nothe Fort and Greenhill Gardens. Admire the incredible scenery at Lulworth Cove and the famous rock arch at Durdle Door, or visit Corfe Castle or the Dorset Adventure Park, both 19 miles away.
As you arrive at this impressive, detached property, take a moment to admire the beautiful surrounding scenery, then park at the back of the house, where there’s room for up to three cars. Enter via the back door and into the rear lobby, where you’ll find a handy utility room with a washing machine and a shower room with a WC. From here, head into the open-plan living space, where the cook can enjoy preparing tasty holiday meals while chatting with the group, who can sit at the breakfast bar. As well as the oven, hob and fridge, there’s a microwave to help, and a dishwasher to make cleaning up quick and easy. Serve up at the dining table, which has room for six people, then head over to the lounge area, a bright and airy space with comfortable seating and a Freeview TV. You’ll find the first of the three bedrooms on the ground floor, a king-size, with a bathroom adjacent. All three bedrooms are decorated in pale colours and have a tranquil ambience, conducive to a great night’s sleep. The twin and double rooms are reached via a spiral, open-tread staircase to the first floor, the latter boasting its own snug and a small balcony, perfect for breathing in the fresh sea air.
The wraparound garden includes a large area of lawn and a patio with a picnic bench and parasol. Head outside for al fresco drinks and meals while enjoying the sunshine, and linger until the stars come out. There is private parking for 3 cars at the rear of the property.
