Situated in a quiet estate in the heart of Seahouses, this detached coastal retreat makes a brilliant base for discovering the breathtaking Northumberland Coast National Landscape. With space for six guests, it’s ideal for a family or group of friends. Just 500 metres away is Seahouses’ lively centre packed with shops, pubs, takeaways and restaurants, plus a pretty harbour, golf course and miles of golden sand. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, home to puffins, seals and one of the UK’s most important bird sanctuaries. At Bamburgh (3.5 miles), you can explore a dramatic clifftop castle and century-old lighthouse. For more wildlife and walking, head to Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve (19.5 miles), or spend a day exploring Alnwick (14.5 miles) – a handsome market town boasting world-famous gardens and a castle that starred as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.

Step inside to a handy entrance hall with coat hooks, before heading into the dual-aspect lounge/diner – a sociable space with comfy sofas and a Smart TV. At the far end, a dining table sits beside sliding doors that open onto the rear garden. The separate kitchen is well-equipped and overlooks the garden, with a connecting door to the utility room. From here, you can access the garden and route into the WC. Upstairs are four bedrooms to choose from: a king-size room with a TV/DVD player and en-suite shower room, a second king-size, a small double that’s ideal for one guest and a bunk room perfect for younger members of the group. The family bathroom features a bath and WC.

Outside, there’s a bench seat at the front, while the enclosed rear garden has a raised deck and dining furniture. A private driveway provides parking for two cars.

We stayed for a week as a family of five and had a fantastic stay. The owners have clearly thought of everything to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. We really appreciated the Prosecco in the fridge on arrival, along with all the helpful local information and takeaway menus provided. The house was spotless and extremely well equipped witRead moreh everything you could need dishwasher and washing tablets, tea, coffee, sugar, spare toothbrushes, plus thoughtful extras for dogs including bowls, towels and poo bags. There was plenty of seating inside and outside, the garden was beautiful and immaculately maintained, and it was surprisingly quiet despite being on a main road. Parking was excellent with two spaces and room for a third if needed, and having garage access for storing things like camping chairs and golf clubs was really useful. Its also very family friendly with a travel cot and stair gate available, plus handy extras like a hair dryer and an EV charger (which was a great addition, although we couldnt use it as we forgot the correct cable). A couple of small things that could make it even better blackout curtains in the back bedroom would help as the morning sun comes through very early, there is only one shower in the en-suite rather than the main bathroom, and a downstairs mirror would be useful. Overall, a wonderful stay and somewhere wed happily recommend. Its obvious a lot of care has gone into making this a home away from home. Hide

A great house for 3 generations and a dog. Incredibly comfortable and a perfect location. Our second time staying there. John and Hilda, the owners, are so happy to help too.

Perfect stay, everything was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay, towels, washing stuff, honestly it was like being home it was so nice. Beds are so comfy! The garden was well kept and was lovely and was secure which was great as we had our dog with us. Even left some treats for our dog which was a lovely touch so she wasnt lefRead moret out as we had some Prosecco left for us too. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone. The village is only a 5 minute walk away and has the best Italian which is also dog friendly. And the beach was only a 10minute walk away in either direction coming out the house. Lovely walk to bamburgh castle along the beach took around a hour. Perfect stay, Thankyou so much for having us and we would defiantly stay again Hide

The property is a lovely house with spacious bedrooms and well positioned for the centre of Seahouses. The host has an EV charger installed which was very handy to use. The property only has a shower in the en-suite and not in the bathroom, which was tricky in the mornings. This is a pet friendly property so there is a smell noticeable in the hoRead moreuse. The hosts were very communicative and included extras such as dishwasher tablets and Prosecco upon arrival which was appreciated. Hide
