At Bamburgh (3.5 miles), you can explore a dramatic clifftop castle and century-old lighthouse. For more wildlife and walking, head to Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve (19.5 miles), or spend a day exploring Alnwick (14.5 miles) – a handsome market town boasting world-famous gardens and a castle that starred as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.
