Set right on the beach, this fantastic single-storey property has a quirky, eclectic style and a huge garden, making it a fantastic coastal retreat for couples, friends or small families. It’s located on the outskirts of the tranquil village of Seasalter, just 0.5 miles from an excellent gastropub. Within 3 miles you can reach fabulous Whitstable, with its eclectic mix of shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants – not forgetting to try a fresh oyster, the local speciality. The property is on the Saxon Shore Way, ideal for walkers and the National Cycle route is nearby. Herne Bay is 7.5 miles away, while the timeless seaside town of Margate can be reached in only 20 miles. Heading inland, the medieval walled city of Canterbury is just 8.5 miles away, home to an impressive mix of shops, award-winning restaurants and, of course, the historic cathedral.

Step inside the beachfront chalet and instantly feel its rustic, home-from-home vibe, with wooden floorboards, original art and a quirky mix of furniture and accessories. Kick off your sandy shoes in the hall, then head through to the open-plan living space – pausing to appreciate the incredible, panoramic sea views. The super-stylish kitchen area has bold wallpaper and dark-wood worktops, with all the equipment and appliances the cook will need, including a microwave and a dishwasher. Enjoy your meals in the dining area where there’s a large table, two designer chairs and a long bench seat. A step down takes you to the lounge area, where you can relax on the comfortable corner sofa or recline on the chaise longue, lighting the wood burner if you’re feeling the chill after a paddle in the sea. Open the patio doors to the garden and enjoy a fresh breeze, or roll down the blinds and switch on the Smart TV for some family entertainment. When you start to feel tired, stroll through the narrow hallway to find the two bedrooms, both of which have beamed ceilings and timber cladding for a cosy feeling. The double room boasts its own en-suite shower room and WC, while the twin room has use of the family bathroom with Litchenstein glass wall. Completing the property a ladder from the main hallway leads up to a mezzanine snug area - a perfect place for teenagers to hang out and catch up with friends.

You’ll have fresh sea air in abundance when you stay at this appealing hideaway. The deck immediately outside is furnished for both lounging and dining. From here, continue to the larger area of the wild coastal garden, which is enclosed with chestnut fencing and has a further dining table, two loungers, benches, a hammock and a fire pit that’s perfect for toasting marshmallows while watching the sunsets. A cosy, welcoming place in a great location for exploring north Kent. And if you're unlucky with the weather, a lovely safe place in which to enjoy a storm

This is a beautifully eccentric and charming chalet with a wonderful selection of quirky art and found objects. Seriously impressed by the design and planning that made effective use of every inch of space. It was both comfortable and well equipped, and ideal for dogs, with robust wooden plank floors that didnt make you wince every time a dog movedRead more! It was perfect for my sister and I plus dogs. Our generous welcome pack was very welcome, and the owner very helpful. Hide
