Tucked away in a friendly village in the Heart of Lincolnshire. This holiday home is a fantastic base for families or friends keen to explore the area. History comes alive in Lincoln, where you can scale the walls of medieval Lincoln Castle, visit the breathtaking cathedral, browse cobbled streets along the famous Steep Hill and Bailgate, where quirky shops and local treats await. Look up to the sky where the famous Red Arrows often practice their manoeuvres! The museum of Lincolnshire Life, the International Bomber Command Centre and Whisby Park are attractions well worth seeing. Ideally located for Belton House, Doddington Hall, and Tattershall Castle. Woodhall Spa is nearby with its Jubilee Park open-air swimming, Kinema in the woods and The National Golf Centre. Meet exotic creatures at Lincoln Zoo and learn about conservation in a fun, interactive setting. And just a short hop from there is the Fun Farm, a perfect rainy-day option.

Step through the front door into a welcoming hallway flooded with light that sets the tone for your stay. You’ll find the inviting kitchen and dining area to be a bright and sunny sociable space with a central island and seating, windows all around and bi-fold doors ideal for bringing the outdoors in on warmer days. Just off the kitchen is a handy cloak area with plenty of space for boots, coats and dog leads. There is a utility room with a washing machine and an extra fridge. The heart of the home is the spacious, light-filled lounge, furnished with easy chairs, two comfortable sofas, more bi-fold doors leading to the garden, and a wood burner to keep things cosy on cooler evenings. From here, walk through to two of the bedrooms, a double and a twin and the family bathroom. Through the hallway, you’ll find the master bedroom to be light and airy, with a plush king-size bed and a generously sized en-suite shower room.

Throw open the doors and head outside to the generously sized, south-facing private garden after a fun day of exploring the surrounding countryside, and enjoy the quiet views towards the village church. The lovely garden is mainly laid to lawn with sheltered patios, furnished with a table and seating, a chiminea, and a BBQ for al fresco dining. Enjoy evening drinks, or simply unwind under the stars; it is a truly stunning retreat!

Digby Retreat exceeded our expectations. It had ample off road parking and a clean, safe, enclosed garden for our small dog. The house was set back off the road and very quiet. The house is light and airy and the rooms are spacious. The owner is very responsive and answered our pre-check in questions quickly. Fresh flowers, chocolates and a birthdaRead morey banner and card were a lovely surprise! As were the doggy treats and human goodies left for us. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay and look forwarded to revisiting. Hide

Churchview - Digby Retreat is a fabulous space to relax and unwind. Our family had the best Christmas, thanks to all the lovely small touches which enabled us to thoroughly relax. Homemade chutney and jam - wow just what we needed! The house is incredibly spacious, both the living room and the kitchen diner are perfect and large enough to accommRead moreodate 6 plus baby. I loved the layout of the kitchen and it is brilliantly equipped to cook up a storm. We had the best of sleeps in comfy beds and the ensuite power shower is to die for! Great woodburner and plenty of games, now we just need to return in the summer to make use of the garden and lovely outdoor furniture. Fabulous walks, the cottage literally lies on the Lincolnshire Spires and Steeple trail, we explored short circular walks and the nearby Bloxham Nature Reserve. The local Red Lion pub is extremely friendly with good pub grub. All four generations thought it was a hit! Thank you so much! Hide

Large well equipped and very comfortable bungalow. Good layout of rooms around a large garden which was clearly a sun trap.

We had a lovely stay in Mid September, although unfortunately we had some rain so we couldn't enjoy sitting out in the garden. Shortly after we arrived we were greeted by Jeanette and her daughter with a welcome pack and some extra bits that they had brought for the Kitchen. They were really welcoming and it was a love touch to be given a delicioRead moreus plum loaf and jam. It is an amazing property with very spacious rooms, it was just the 3 of us staying but we could clearly see that if there was 6 of us there would be plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. It was good to see a selection of books, games and Jigsaw puzzles to occupy yourself with in the evenings. Although it is a large living room it did feel very cosy. All the rooms were very clean. We are looking forward to coming back next year. Hide
