An inviting hideaway in the Nottinghamshire village of Halam. This cosy conversion is perfect for couples and a romantic getaway. The one bedroom retreat is an ideal option for anyone keen to get out and about in the beautiful surroundings. Head into the market town of Southwell, 1.5 miles away to potter in the shops, dine out and see the famous Southwell Minster. You can also go to the races, play golf and visit the National Trust's fascinating former Victorian workhouse. Plan a day out to the magnificent Sherwood Forest, 16 miles away, to follow the leafy trails through the woods that Robin Hood and his merry men were said to frequent. Picturesque Clumber Park ,17 miles away, with its 3800 acre estate, walled gardens and lake, is also well worth a visit. Venture 20 miles to Bolsover castle with its colourful history and fountain garden. Wonder along the banks of the nearby River Trent and admire the wonderful views.

Pull into the quiet lane in Halam, and park conveniently in front of the single-level accommodation. Although this is located in the owner's own back garden, guests can rest assured they will have their own privacy. Make your way inside and into the galley kitchen, arranged to allow you to prepare holiday meals with ease. Unpack your groceries, put on the kettle and make a cup of tea. The kitchen flows easily through to the open plan lounge/diner. Wander into the lounge space, with its plump leather seating. Spend cosy evenings in here together in front of the Smart TV, and as the day draws to a close, make your way through to the welcoming double bedroom, where you will find ample storage space. This room benefits from a refreshing en-suite shower room.

Carry your coffee out into the garden (shared with the owner) and plan the days activities. There is parking for one car at the property.

A cozy and comfortable cottage, well furnished and with a generous stock of day-to-day supplies for use during our stay. Located in a small village/hamlet in a lovely area of the midlands.

Our stay was absolutely brilliant, I can't recommend it enough it has everything you could possibly need for a smaller property. Lovely area, walks close by and a small drive to some nice parks and also a nice traditional pub in walking distance. Lynn who owns the property was so helpful and very knowledgeable of the local area. We will definitely Read morebook again. Hide

We had a fabulous stay in Dragons Den beautifully clean and fully equipped. Lynn is a lovely lady and supplied a welcome pack including doggy treats. She was on hand if we needed anything. Lovely walks and a dog friendly pub a couple of minutes away. We highly recommend this lovely cottage. Many thanks Lynn.
