The log cabin is set in an idyllic woodland surrounding which is situated between Ambleside and Skelwith Bridge, with a variety of local pubs, restaurants, cafes and numerous shops for you to explore. Nearby you also have a vast choice of walking and cycling routes and fishing opportunities to choose from, making this area a haven for nature lovers and those who like to explore on foot. The popular Langdale Pikes are only a short drive away, and Windermere and Bowness are also close by with plenty to see and do including water sports.

Descend the steps to the lodge where you enter through the front door, into the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer the perfect spot to prepare a family meal. The dining area is positioned between the kitchen and the lounge where you can enjoy the resulting meal together. Heading on to the lounge area, you have a relaxing leather sofa to relax on with a Smart TV/DVD with Netflix and Xbox One, and a coal effect electric fire. From the lounge area you will find the shower room with shower and WC, and from here you can also lead onto the spacious double bedroom with patio doors and views into the woods. The single bedroom, also accessed from the lounge, is spacious and looks towards the woodland area.

Outside of the lodge is a terrace area with seating and woodland views, a great spot for al fresco dining. You can also take advantage of the on-site facilities including a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, there is also a shared utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is allocated parking for two cars, and several steps from here down to the lodge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again! The lodge was lovely and had everything we needed, and the back garden was beautiful and was perfect for our dog to explore! We also really appreciated how well equipped it was, especially having milk in the fridge! Thank you.

We had the most wonderful birthday getaway at Beck Head Tarn in the peaceful woodland of Neaum Crag, near Ambleside. The location was absolutely lovely: secluded yet so convenient for exploring the Lake District, with stunning views and that magical forest feel right outside the door. The cabin itself was in very good standard, clean and incrediblRead morey well-stocked. Everything we needed was there, making it feel like a true home-from-home. A special shout-out to Hollie for managing such a special place and for the thoughtful welcome touches: fresh tea, coffee, milk, and shortbreads waiting for us, which made arriving after a drive so cozy and welcoming. Inside, the little electric fire created such a warm atmosphere (perfect for rainy March evenings), and the outside terrace was beautiful, even in the drizzle. We loved sipping drinks out there listening to the trees. My fianc even spotted a red squirrel scampering around the woods, which was a lovely highlight! The rain didn't dampen the magic one bitwe had a lovely relaxing break together. Highly recommend for a peaceful escape. We'll definitely be back! Hide

No exterior lighting in park. Cabin difficult to locate in the dark. Path to the cabin not suitable for mobility issues Strong wet dog odour that stayed for the 7 days. 2nd bedroom light fitting fell off - was held together with tape. 2 slats on the main bed kept collapsing. General cleanliness of the property was very poor. There was a significant amount of dust and cobwebs behind and under all the furniture - don't store your bags under the bed! Most concerning was the broken glass we found in the lounge rug, luckily stepped on and found by an adult rather than our children. The bathroom, and shower specifically, areRead more desperately in need of a deep clean or replacement (e.g. shower head). The deck and location are lovely, and the pool access was a huge bonus. We booked this accommodation partly due to the reviews, which very very high compared to what we experienced. Overall cleanliness was very poor, shower room in particular was not of a high stander, lots of black mould in the shower and flooring, toilet was filthy. On a positive note the location was lovely and facilities were good. We wouldnt returRead moren to this accommodation but would return to the location. Hide

Positives: Beautiful location and some dramatic scenery to include water falls, circular trails. Outdoor seating area is very pleasant and tranquil. Cabin was well equipped, warm and comfortable with smart TV and sound system. Phone signal not brilliant however WiFi is available through the owner and password in owners guide book. This cabin is in a lovely peaceful spot on the site. We had a lovely stay. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We booked as last minute break, make booking on Sunday for arrival on Tuesday (2 days later). Received a message to state needed to check a few things before booking could be confirmed. Nothing by mid morning following day so phonecall was Read moreneeded. Booking was then accepted. But no checking in details forwarded. Another call on route to property to access this info. Lovely cabin in an exceptionally beautiful location. We could not believe how well located the cabin was and how centrally situated for exploring all the Lake Districts beauty. Can not recommend enough.
