This charming cottage lies in the fishing village of Seahouses, which offers boat trips, coastal walks and delicious local food, making it an ever-popular tourist destination. Northumberland is a county with a host of spectacular wildlife, award-winning dining and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Northumberland’s International Dark Sky Park is an opportunity not to be missed; the largest of its kind in Europe, allowing visitors to embrace the autumn and winter seasons and witness some of the region’s exciting astronomical events – the perfect place to observe the county’s beautiful, star-speckled sky. Seahouses is well served by boat trips to the magnificent Farne Islands and Coquet Island, plus several nature reserves nestled in the heart of Northumberland. The fascinating Bamburgh Castle is also nearby, with exhibitions exploring its varied history as an Anglo-Saxon palace, home to a Victorian inventor and all the centuries between.

The cottage features a cosy lounge with a log-burner effect electric fire and two sofas, where guests can relax and watch the smart TV or make use of some of the books or games provided. Enjoy a family meal at the dining table with four chairs. The fully equipped kitchen gives you the freedom for a great self-catering holiday with ample facilities that includes an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and a dishwasher. On the first floor, the comfortable main bedroom features a restful king-size bed and ample storage while the second bedroom provides 2 single beds, together with a shower room with a WC. The traditional ambience throughout is of warmth and easy living.

Outside, access to the neighbouring sister cottage is shared, and while the porch entrance to this cottage does not allow for outdoor seating, the harbour front and all the local amenities and attractions are just a short distance away from the accommodation. You are able to unload your car outside the property however, for more permanent car parking a permit is provided free of charge for the village carpark, only a few minutes walk away. This permit can also be used in other Northumberland car parks during your stay. Please note that the location of the property is to the rear of the coffee shop and a kebab shop.

The shower is far too small Im 6 tall and weigh 16 stone, the delivery drivers waiting outside the cottage for the kebab shop engine running is annoying.

Please see issues above The cottage needs updating - - Keys and locks are rusty and old, which means it is hard to enter or lock the door. - there isnt even an ice box in the fridge - the old fashioned electric shower is weak and there is mold all over the shower and grouting and the sink is blocked - The gate is broken

We had a wonderful week at Flores Cottage in Seahouses. The house is in a great location, in the centre of all amenities but its very quiet too. Parking permit is really helpful and can be used out and about in other council car parks. Cottage is clean, cosy and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. We would recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

A lovely, cosy cottage tucked away just off the main street. 2 minutes from all the shops and 5 from the harbour. Don't be put off by the kebab shop nearby, you would not know it was there. The cottage is quiet, has everything you need and is kept perfectly clean and tidy. Love it!

Florres cottage is the perfect base to explore Northumberland. The cottage is very clean, well equipped with everything you need, and beautifully decorated. We have stayed in the cottage 3 times and will definitely be booking again. I would normally avoid dog friendly accommodation because of hygiene but this cottage is spotless.

A very comfortable, well equipped cottage. Spotlessly clean. A very good welcome box was a nice addition. Brilliant position for accessing seahouses and car park where we left our car. Very quiet. A added bonus was a downstairs toilet. Iwe would definitely recommend this cottage.

This is a perfectly acceptable base in Seahouses. However, be aware that the property is just behind a Kebab King, and is adjoined to a Chinese, and is only a few yards from a caravan park and roundabout. Check its location on Google maps. I think this location, which is not ideal, cannot justify the price we paid.

The cottage was clean and tidy in a good position for local amenities. Unfortunately 1 day out of our three day stay was spent waiting for the gas to be sorted out as we had no heating or hot water for 24 hours on arrival. Otherwise a pleasant cottage and stay.

Flores is a lovely little cottage. Had everything you could need for a short stay and a long stay. Beautifully decorated, plenty of room for our family of 4 (2 teens) and a dog. Very central to Seahouses, just minutes from the carpark, co-op and restaurants/pubs/chipshops. Would use again.

Hi, What a lovely cottage and so well situated. We been to Seahouses a number of times and never been so central. The cottage has a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee and biscuits, thank you so much. The parking pass was another great addition, thank you. We had three great nights sleep. Two tvs with one in the bedroom, great stuff. A additional frRead moreeezer which was great to put our box of beer in to chill down before we went to see our friends at a near by caravan site. Thanks again. Mike & Ang. Hide
