This splendid property is an ideal base for family or friends seeking to explore Dorset’s glorious coast and countryside. Sleeping four guests, the former chapel is quietly located in the village of Winfrith Newburgh, just 4 miles from Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Internationally renowned for their unique geology and iconic landmarks, these beautiful sandy beaches are perfect for water sports, rock pooling and, for adventurous visitors, coasteering. Displays in the Heritage Centre at Lulworth Cove show how the sea has shaped this spectacular stretch of the Jurassic Coast. Walkers will find a wealth of wonderfully scenic trails along the South West Coast Path and peaceful country lanes. Fairytale Lulworth Castle (6 miles) is set in parkland, with woodland walks, a playground and a cafe where you can enjoy a cream tea. The bustling county town of Dorchester (9.5 miles) has a weekly Wednesday market and an excellent museum and art gallery.
Enter through the chapel’s double doors to find a bright and airy interior flooded with light beneath a splendid, vaulted ceiling. Beautiful, modern furnishings complement the bright, white walls inside this dramatic open space. Inside is a charming snug corner, comprising comfortable sofas and a coffee table. The dining area opposite is a striking feature, with wood and glass used to create a distinctive table and seating. To the rear, the streamlined contemporary kitchen offers all that keen cooks might need, and a handy breakfast bar. There are two beautiful bedrooms, a double and a twin, each dressed in pale linens and one with a stylish en-suite shower room, plus an additional shower room. A utility area completes the ground floor. An impressive floating staircase leads to the mezzanine floor and magnificent living room. Along with two large sofas and a Smart TV, this lofty retreat also has glass doors, perfect for a spot of peace and privacy.
Outside there is a small patio area. Please note, parking is available outside the property if there is sufficient space.
