An inviting timber lodge at the heart of magnificent Nidderdale, this delightful retreat offers year-round comfort and space. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom hideaway encompasses single-storey accommodation, complete with a wood burner, and has a lawned garden with its own BBQ hut. Set on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the lodge is situated 1 mile from Pateley Bridge and 13 miles from Ripon. The elegant North Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate is 15.5 miles away. Venture just 4 miles from the holiday home to see the giant sculpture of Coldstones Cut, with its panoramic views across the countryside. The National Trust’s Brimham Rocks is 5.5 miles from your base – explore the beautiful moorlands and follow footpaths past fascinating rock formations. Exquisite Fountains Abbey and the glorious Studley Royal Water Garden, where there are ancient ruins, is 11 miles from the lodge.

Take three steps up to the wooden deck of this Alpine-style lodge and let yourselves in to find its interior has vaulted timber ceilings and something of a Scandinavian feel. Amble through to the kitchen/diner to unpack any fresh Yorkshire produce you have sourced on your latest excursion. Discover you have ample storage and food preparation space here, as well as appliances and utensils to enable you to cater easily for your party. Dine together at the round table before meandering through to the inviting lounge to light the wood burner, switch on the Smart TV and sink back into the plump, L-shaped sofa. Open the doors to the deck in this room during the warmer months so everyone can wander in and out as the mood takes them. At the end of each fabulous day, treat yourselves to either a shower or a bath in the well-appointed family bathroom before laying your head for the night in the master double bedroom or bunk room.

Savour the opportunities for outside living at this exceptional holiday home, which boasts splendid, far-reaching views of the surrounding rolling hills and fields. Open a bottle of wine on the scenic, sun-soaked deck within the enclosed garden, then browse a few pages of your holiday novel. Play games with the children on the grass before firing up the BBQ in the hut and gathering on the wooden benches to enjoy your meal. There is off-road parking at the lodge for two cars, with additional space in a nearby car park.
