Well placed for exploring the unspoiled Suffolk coast and countryside, this welcoming property sleeping up to seven guests is perfect for those who love nature and the great outdoors. Set in the village of Westleton, it is within 2.5 miles of the renowned RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve and a short drive from delightful seaside towns such as Southwold and Aldeburgh (both 9 miles). Enjoy a stroll around Westleton’s pretty village green, where you’ll find two traditional pubs serving food. The shingle beach at Dunwich (3 miles), was once the site of a thriving medieval port but now lies beneath the waves. Learn more about this lost town at the excellent Dunwich Museum. Spot otters and water voles in the Minsmere Nature Reserve, with trails through a mixed landscape of woods, wetland and heaths. Family fun attractions include pond dipping, building dens and hunting for minibeasts. Some of Suffolk’s most magnificent churches are nearby, including Blythburgh (4 miles), known as the Cathedral of the Marshes.

Characterful ceiling beams and contemporary furnishings in soft, neutral shades create a relaxed ambience throughout this spacious property. The open-plan living space is light and airy, with ample sofas where you can settle down in front of the wood-burner to make plans for tomorrow or watch TV. French doors open onto to the patio, and the roomy kitchen area also overlooks the garden. You’ll find all the culinary utensils you might need to rustle up meals using local produce, and there’s a large dining table. Still on the ground floor are an inviting double bedroom and a stylish shower room with a WC. Head upstairs to find two more double bedrooms, with ample storage space and a super family bathroom.

From the lounge, step onto the patio in the private, enclosed garden, with outdoor furniture and space for children to play on the lawn.
