Set in the beautiful countryside that borders Northumberland National Park, with stunning views all around, this reverse-level stone cottage is perfect for couples or small families planning outdoor adventures together. Located in the rolling Breamish Valley, lovers of the outdoors are spoiled for walking routes from the doorstep, including trails into the hamlet of Branton and towards the national park. With the Northumberland coastline less than 20 miles away, guests can enjoy both a countryside and seaside getaway – uncover the history of Dunstanburgh Castle (18 miles), walk the ancient streets of Alnwick (11.5 miles), and make sure to visit this market town’s shops, bars and restaurants, as well as Alnwick Castle and Garden too. For bucket-and-spade days by the water, you have beaches at Alnmouth, Warkworth, and Longhoughton all within 19 miles and offer long stretches of sand and dramatic surrounding scenery.

Step into this rustic cottage and find a haven of calm, contemporary charm. Take off walking boots in the entrance hallway, and head upstairs to the first floor to find the delightful open-plan living space. Combining the lounge, kitchen and diner, this light and spacious room boasts sloping ceilings and exposed wooden beams that blend with vibrant furnishings and modern comforts. Settle in the lounge area after days of adventure – fire up the crackling wood burner, flick on the Smart TV and rest weary walking muscles. When stomachs rumble, you’ll find the well-appointed kitchen offers everything needed for a self-catered stay; gather at the wooden dining table to enjoy the chef’s work. When it’s time to call it a night, head back down to the ground floor and choose from an inviting master double bedroom or a twin room that’s perfect for little ones. Serving the bedrooms and completing the interior is a well-equipped family bathroom.

Soak up the fresh countryside air by relaxing with your morning coffee or evening tipple on the picnic benches in the shared garden. Elsewhere on site, guests have access to fantastic leisure facilities that include a swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, a luxurious spa, and a state-of-the-art gym. For more on-site fun, you’ll find an all-weather tennis court, mini golf, and two stunning lakes, a well-equipped games room, a children’s adventure playground, and a playhouse.
