This thoughtfully designed property offers a chance to recharge in beautiful surroundings and within easy reach of amenities. The vibrant village of Sway, set on the southern reaches of the New Forest, is easily reachable by train from London Waterloo and has services to Bournemouth (14.5 miles) and Southampton (16 miles). Just 100 metres from the property is a historic coaching inn which serves great food, and within a mile, you’ll find a vibrant high street with a choice of places to eat as well as a butcher, deli, convenience store and coffee shop, plus another highly rated pub. The Georgian market town of Lymington is just 4.5 miles away, with its summertime sea-water baths, cobbled streets and impressive marinas, and the beautiful sandy beach at Highcliffe is 6.5 miles.

The property is adjoined to the owner’s home, but has its own entrance and is very private. Step straight into the large, open-plan living space, where you’ll find a comfortable seating area around a gas fire, with a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is set up for all your holiday cooking needs, including an electric oven and halogen hob, microwave, fridge with ice box and slimline dishwasher. Create gourmet delights to enjoy at the dining table, by the patio doors, which seats four comfortably. When you’re ready for bed, explore the first floor where there’s a sunny king-size bedroom tucked under the eaves with a beautiful brass bed, ample storage, a ceiling fan and a TV – ideal for slow mornings or late-night movies. There’s also a cot bed in here which is suitable for a child under 5. Finally, the pretty en-suite bathroom has a shower over the bath (do mind your head on the sloping ceiling) and WC.

During your stay you can sit out in the sunny, private garden, which has a gravelled surface and borders of colourful shrubs. There’s a table and chairs if you wish to dine alfresco, and sunbathers can request to borrow loungers. The location is very good as the cottage is very close to a pub, on a bus route and there are trains from the village centre. The coast was close by and there are walks from the cottage. There is good off-road parking. The cottage is very comfortable and ideal for a couple.

Really well equipped annex cottage. Everything had been thought of and the property was spotless. Sway is a great location with a couple of pubs offering food, supermarket, butchers and train line. We used the train a lot to travel into other areas to walk.

This is an absolutely fabulous little cottage/studio apartment. has everything you require even two large screen tvs (one in the bedroom) which most importantly fully work with all channels. You very often don't get that in new forest accommodation. Cant recommend this accommodation highly enough.

A very pleasant property in a good location just a short walk to the Hare and Hounds p/h which served good quality food. Owners had supplied a comprehensive information pack outlining everything you needed to know about the property and amenities and attractions in the surrounding area. Pleasant and friendly neighbours and a very enjoyable stay.
