Located in the centre of historic Sandwich, this spot is perfect for exploring the best of Kent’s coast and countryside. Wander the medieval streets with their timber-framed houses and friendly cafes, then make your way to Sandwich Bay (2 miles on foot or 3 miles by car), where huge sandy beaches, rolling dunes and nature reserves are made for lazy days and wildlife spotting. Keen golfers can take on the famous Royal St George’s Golf Club (1.5 miles), while avid walkers can follow the trails through Pegwell Bay Country Park (3 miles) and watch curlews, oystercatchers, and Brent geese swoop over the salt marshes. Deal (6 miles) is packed with charm, from its Georgian seafront lined with pubs to its links with Charles Dickens. Staying here means you’re never far from fresh air, good food and a proper taste of Kent’s relaxed, easy-going spirit.

This cottage is packed with charming touches and personal details, giving it a cosy, lived-in feel that makes you feel instantly welcome. Walk into the large kitchen/diner, where the well-equipped, characterful kitchen with a handy island makes cooking together a joy, and the spacious dining table comfortably seats everyone for laughter-filled meals. After a day of exploring, kick back in the lounge with your weary feet up and lose yourself in a box set on the Smart TV while everyone finds their spot on the sofa. This remarkable room is filled with captivating details and warm exposed beams that create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. When you’re not gazing upon trinkets and paintings, admire the pretty enclosed garden from the window seat and enjoy a cup of cocoa. The hallway leads to a washer cupboard, a separate WC, and a shower room. Upstairs, settle down in one of three uniquely designed bedrooms: a super king, a twin, and a single. The bathroom is also conveniently located here, providing the perfect space to refresh for another day of adventures together.

The enclosed garden is peaceful and pretty. Children will love running freely, while adults can enjoy the gentle hum of birdsong. The bistro table and two chairs make it an ideal spot for light lunches or evening drinks. There is on-street parking for 1 hour outside the property (helpful for dropping off luggage on arrival), and a long-stay pay-and-display car park can be found under 200 metres away.

Very disappointing and unhygienic stay. Unfortunately, our stay at Cherry Blossom Cottage was extremely disappointing. The condition, cleanliness and general upkeep of the property fell well below what we would reasonably expect from a holiday cottage. On arrival, we found one toilet blocked with faecal matter. The other toilet had a sticking dooRead morer latch and was extremely difficult to open. The crockery was covered in dust and cobwebs, and there was used food left in the kitchen cupboards, including items expiration dating back to 2021. Most of the drawers and cupboards were also filled with random junk, leaving very little usable storage space for our own food, clothes and belongings. This made the cottage feel cluttered and poorly prepared for paying guests. The waste bins were already full of rubbish, which added to the overall impression that the property had not been properly cleaned or prepared for our arrival. There were also issues with the filtered water supply, which took around five minutes just to fill a tumbler. A glass containing stale water had also been left on a bedside table. The garden furniture was particularly concerning. It was rusty and appeared unsafe. When one chair was moved, a leg actually fell off, presenting a genuine risk of injury. We attempted to contact the owner on two separate occasions to raise these issues, but received absolutely no response either time. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating, particularly given the seriousness of some of the problems. We ended up having to unblock the toilet ourselves. We didn't pay for the use of this cottage to unblock toilets and clear up other people's mess. Overall, the poor hygiene, lack of maintenance, excessive clutter, inadequate preparation, and complete lack of response from the owner resulted in a very unpleasant experience. The property also had a very lived-in feel, which left us with an unsettling impression that someone had just stepped out and might return at any moment. I would not recommend Cherry Blossom Cottage unless these issues are fully resolved and the property is thoroughly cleaned, decluttered, properly maintained, and carefully inspected before any future guests arrive. The cottage is in the centre of very pretty Sandwich. It is an easy walk to the river, restaurants and shops. The beds were comfortable. There was lots of crockery, cooking utensils etc - you just have to search as some are out of the way. The cottage is as though someone who lives there has just stepped out for a minute. There are lots of piRead morectures on the walls, books on shelves and drinks in the lounge. My dad who has mobility issues struggled to get ip the steep stairs as there is not a bannister. This should be made clearer in the advert as I did not realise this when I booked and could be an issue for young children too. It is lovely to sit in the garden, but there was only 1 usable chair to sit round the table. Most of the chairs in the lounge were uncomfortable to sit on to watch TV. This was not a problem for us, but could be an issue if anyone is in the cottage for any length of time. Hide

We enjoyed our stay at Cherry Blossom Cottage, it is well located in the centre of Sandwich, with many pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. The cottage is very traditional and very well equipped with extensive golfing memorabilia on display. The enclosed garden is delightful. We left the car at home and found Sandwich well served by tRead morerain and bus services which enabled us to explore the local towns and villages. Hide

Super well-located cottage. Just around the corner from Luigis and Bell Hotel. Well worth a trip, especially if you like golf and/or wildlife parks.

Our family of three had a lovely stay at Cherry Blossom Cottage. It is very well located in Sandwich and everything is easily walkable. The ground floor is nicely configured and there are three bedrooms upstairs. A highlight of the property is its golf themed memorabilia with particularly fine pictures of local venues like Royal St Georges. The garRead moreden is lovely as well. Overall, well worth a visit, especially if you enjoy links golf and appreciate a traditional setting. Hide
