Had a fab stay at Jo and Jimmys place. Its a great house and is in a lovely quiet location surrounded by fields annd cows. The neighbours we met were all lovely. Shout out to Tim and Debbie next door who were friendly and very helpful at recommending things to do and places to eat. The house is in a great location for sightseeing with Keswick, WindRead moreermere etc only half an hour away by car and St Bees beach only 5 minutes away. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed a few evenings in the garden and summer house. The kids loved making use of the darts board and ping pong table. We even made use of the board games. The house has everything you could need, even a fan which we were delighted to make use of because of the hot weather and the shower upstairs is amazing. Thank you, Jo and Jimmy for having us. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and well be sure to come back next time we fancy a visit to Cumbria. Hide

We were honoured to be the first guests in the property, and had a really special week with glorious weather. The house had everything we needed, plus fun extras like the ping-pong table, the bar and the dartboard! Its about 40 minutes drive to Wasdale Head (for Scafell Pike), and around the same to Cockermouth, so is well situated for the Western Read morelakes. St Bees is just a few miles up the road, so whether you like mountains, Lakeland towns or beaches, youre sorted! The house itself is great, and has lots of space for up to 6, although there were only 4 of us, ranging from 20 to 87 years! The kitchen/diner and the lounge are upstairs, along with a lovely double with a large, en-suite wet-room/shower, and there are two more doubles downstairs, plus another family bathroom, a utility room, and the games room. Overall its very attractive and comfy with a lovely sofa, a 65 Smart TV and good wifi, but its also really practical with the tiled floor downstairs, so would be a good base for walkers or climbers exploring Wasdale or Eskdale in weather more typical than the perpetual sunshine we had! We wouldnt hesitate to return here, and owners Jo & Jimmy were very friendly and really helpful. Hide
