The castle, once associated with figures like Mary, Queen of Scots and the notorious Border Reivers, offers a haunting glimpse into medieval life and conflict. The charming village of Newcastleton (8 miles) offers local pubs serving hearty food and attraction’s including the Liddesdale Heritage Centre, 7stanes (a renowned mountain biking trail), and Rock UK Outdoor Adventure centre. The bustling town of Hawick (18 miles), famous cashmere and knitwear links, is also nearby.

Step into the hall and head through to the sumptuous lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring the beautiful glens and watch a movie on the Smart TV while the wood burner roars.
