Lovely quiet, clean and spacious accommodation with stunning views over Swanage Bay. Very well equipped. Lots of natural light in the large living area, even on gloomy days. Not overlooked so nice and private. The washing machine and dryer in the garage was an added bonus to get some washing done before returning home, as well as being a useful spaRead morece to store the bikes and bike rack. Ample parking but as stated, the entrance road is unmade and on a hill so can be tricky especially in the wet. The driveway entrance is a little narrow so extra care needed if like us you had a larger vehicle with bikes on the back but, these are minor issues in the overall picture. Swanage itself has everything you need with a wide range of good coffee shops, restaurants, the infamous Chococo chocolate shop and even art galleries along with all the usual small high-street shops. All within a ten minute walk. Swanage is a great location to explore the Jurassic Coast from, with many coastal walks available as well. We have been regular visitors to this part of Dorset for many years, we will definitely look to book this property again! Hide

This is a great place to stay but we see that the property is on the market so it may not be listed for next season!

Nice cottage, can see the beach. If you are good on foot-nice to walk in to the village.

The cottage was spacious and fairly comfortable though the cream sofas were rather grubby. We had very poor wifi connection on all our devices, it would work for about 10/15 minutes then stop and we had to switch the modem on and off to get reconnected for another 15 minutes.

The interior is as shown in the photos. Provision of equipment (e.g. crockery) and supplies (e.g. toilet rolls) was minimal but adequate and the house was comfortable. However the views and peacefulness were not as described. This is because the neighbouring property is being redeveloped so scaffolding partially obscures the view and the inevitableRead more noise of a building site disrupts the tranquillity and privacy. We asked Holiday Cottages and the owner why we had not been informed and offered other options. Holiday cottages seemed unaware of the situation and their response to our predicament/complaint was professional and empathetic. The owner has left the matter with Holiday Cottages to deal with. The works look set to continue for some time and the view will be further diminished once a cover is over the roof thereby spoiling what would otherwise be a great location. Hide
