Offering light and stylish accommodation for up to four guests, this beautifully furnished retreat sits in the heart of Cartmel, a thriving village in a beautiful part of Cumbria. Cartmel is known for its fabulous pubs, restaurants, cafes and independent boutique shops selling gifts and local specialties, including cheeses and Cartmels very own sticky toffee pudding. Cartmel also hosts a medieval Priory and a popular Racecourse. The picturesque coastal town of Grange over Sands (2.5 miles) has a charming promenade overlooking vast expanse of salt marsh at the head of Morecambe Bay. To the west, the bustling town of Ulverston (15 miles) is home to the Laurel and Hardy Museum. The National Trust site of Fell Foot (6.5 miles) sits at the southern edge of Windermere, providing a fantastic base for steam trips across the lake or for exploring the glorious countryside, quaint villages and stunning waterways of the Lake District.

Dating back to the 17th century, this characterful cottage is an inviting holiday retreat. Downstairs, you’ll find three rooms, all decorated to a high standard. The dining room is ideal for sociable meals around the table, while the lounge features a wood burner sat in the original fireplace and plenty of comfy seating. A fully equipped kitchen has plenty of work and storage space, with an eye-catching exposed stone wall. The ground floor also has a handy WC. Heading upstairs, you will have a choice of two spacious bedrooms, each with a lovely double bed and ample storage space. The accommodation is rounded off with a stylish shower room.

Stepping outside from the kitchen, there’s a charming and enclosed private patio garden with outdoor furniture, offering a peaceful and relaxing spot for you all to unwind together after a fantastic day exploring this unforgettable part of Cumbria. Private off-road parking for one car is available, which is an added bonus with parking at a premium in Cartmel at certain times of year.
