Looking for somewhere special where family or friends can spend time together? This outstanding barn conversion sleeping 12 guests offers the perfect choice. The historic market town of Brecon is just 4.5 miles away with a good range of independent shops, eateries and pubs lining its narrow, winding streets. This is wonderful walking and mountaineering country, and Brecon marks the start of the long-distance Taff Trail that takes walkers and cyclists through breathtaking scenery. You can also opt for a quiet stroll or scenic boat ride along the tranquil Monmouthshire and Brecon canal down to pretty Talybont-on-Usk. Head to Llangorse Lake (4 miles), the largest natural lake in Wales, to enjoy a great range of water sports, from kayaking and canoeing to sailing, with equipment to hire on site. The lake is a wildlife haven, so look out for glimpses of otters and water voles.

This light and airy property has six bedrooms and four bathrooms, with a wealth of beams, a vaulted ceiling and touches of luxury throughout. The beautiful interior blends contemporary and country style with charming items of vintage furniture. On the ground floor, with underfloor heating, discover a cosy snug with a wood burner, and the splendid kitchen with an AGA, equipped with all you might need to prepare tasty meals. The kitchen leads onto the lovely dining area set inside a beautiful conservatory with beams and gorgeous rural views. Sink back onto sumptuous sofa seating in the spacious living room, with a feature fireplace and bi-fold doors to the garden. An indoor games room, with a pool table, darts and table football, and a spacious cinema room provide entertainment. There are two flights of stairs to the first floor, where you’ll find five delightful bedrooms, comprising four-king-size, a double and a twin. Alongside are four bathrooms, including two en-suites.

Outside, the large garden has a hot tub, sauna, an outdoor kitchen and pizza oven, with outdoor furniture, perfect for al fresco dining and star watching in this designated Dark Sky Reserve. The garden also houses rugby and football posts and children’s play equipment.
