A family holiday to Ambleside puts you in a wonderful spot to explore the breathtaking Lake District National Park. With its independent shops and tempting cafes, this vibrant town is an excellent base for a fun-filled holiday. Hop on a ferry across Lake Windermere to enjoy a relaxing cruise or a boat trip to explore hidden coves and lakeside villages. A visit to Windermere town, 4.5 miles away, offers plenty of activities, from water sports and scenic walks to the fascinating World of Beatrix Potter attraction, where little ones can step into the world of Peter Rabbit. If you prefer a quieter escape, Grasmere, 5 miles away, is famous for its literary history and picturesque walks, as well as the legendary Grasmere gingerbread – an absolute must-try treat.

Step into the inviting lounge, where a warm gas fire and Smart TV create a lovely setting for relaxing after a day of exploring. Just next door, the well-equipped kitchen/diner is ready for you to whip up delicious meals, whether it’s a leisurely breakfast or a hearty dinner after a long walk. On the first floor, you’ll find a comfortable double bedroom along with a spacious family bathroom, ideal for unwinding at the end of the day. Upstairs, the top floor features two light-filled bedrooms – a snug single and a welcoming double – both tucked under sloping ceilings, adding to the cottage’s character and charm.

Outside, a small rear courtyard with outdoor furniture provides a quiet spot for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. There's also a handy shed for bike storage, making this a great base for cyclists. Parking is convenient, with on-street spaces available next to the cottage, and a permit is provided for your stay.
