Perched on the hillside of glorious Looe on the Cornish coast, this spacious holiday home is perfect for families and friends looking to unwind by the sea. Wander through the town’s charming narrow streets, leading to the picturesque harbour where you can watch fishing boats come and go. Looe’s nearby sandy beach is ideal for a day of relaxation, with a cosy cafe offering a wonderful spot to soak up the seaside atmosphere. Food lovers will be spoiled for choice with plenty of fantastic restaurants serving fresh, local seafood. For an aquatic adventure, hop on a boat to Looe Island, a wildlife haven home to rare plants, seabirds, and grey seals. For a change of scene, the city of Plymouth is 20 miles away, home to independent shops, high-street favourites, excellent eateries and the National Marine Aquarium.

Before stepping into this inviting holiday home, take a moment to appreciate its pretty façade and the impressive views of the town and water. Head inside and be greeted by the social heart of the home – the open-plan living space that combines a peaceful lounge with a window-side dining space and well-appointed galley kitchen. Unwind in the lounge after days of coastal adventure, sinking into the soft seating as the Smart TV streams your favourite shows. When stomachs start to rumble, gather the Cornish produce you sourced earlier in the day and find that the kitchen boasts everything needed for cooking up holiday feasts, which can be enjoyed at the nearby dining table or al fresco-style out on the decking. At the end of each busy day away, head upstairs and find three delightful bedrooms. Choose from a master double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and access to a scenic balcony, another double room with seaside vistas, and a bunk bedroom that little ones will love. Completing the interior is a well-equipped wet room for washing away the sand after memorable days.

Outside, guests are truly spoiled for various scenic spots in which to dine, unwind and take in the surrounding scenery. Accessed via steps from the private garage – a real luxury in Looe – the property boasts two terraces, as well as a spacious decked area to the front and a glass-fronted balcony with splendid views of the town and river. Fire up the BBQ for al fresco meals, and benefit from private garage parking for one car.

Wood View Cottage is very comfortable with lovely views from the many terraces. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully furnished home. Looe is very pretty with some great places to eat and drink. We would definitely stay at the property again but the walk uphill back from Looe is very steep and not recommended for less mobile people.

The cottage was good for the week however much smaller than the photos and write up indicate. With 3 flights of stairs down to the property after negotiating small garage parking and a long, steep walk into the town and back would mean we wouldnt book again or recommend.

Well-eqipped, cosy cottage with fantastic views. Lots of steps to access property, which is at the top of a very steep hill. Beware that there are lots of very narrow roads in Looe, which are hard to navigate by car. Loads of places to eat out in Looe but you need to book in advance during school holidays.
