Set within a quiet area enclosed with large hedges, on the edge of the charming village of Sutton upon Derwent, this tranquil lodge is ideal for a family or group getaway, sleeping six guests, and is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and its many attractions. In just 9 miles, you can reach York, home of the Jorvik Viking Centre, the magnificent minster, the renowned Shambles Market, the Roman Bath Museum and numerous historic buildings, including Barley Hall, a hidden medieval townhouse. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants here, too, of course. Further shopping can be found at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, 9.5 miles away. For exhilarating walks and incredible views, head to the Yorkshire Wolds (10 miles) Howardian Hills (21 miles) or the North York Moors National Park (31 miles).
