Salisbury (11 miles) is famous worldwide for its medieval cathedral and historic buildings set within a beautiful close. The cottage forms part of a fine Grade II listed 17th-century house and has its own private entrance. Enter via the porch where there is plenty of space to hang your coat and knock off your walking boots. Next head through the front door into the bright and spacious open-plan living space, furnished in a charming country style. Comfortable sofas, a large screen Smart TV and a crackling open fire set below original beams combine to make this a perfect spot for cosy nights in. A pretty dining table and chairs sit next to the cottage window, while the well-appointed kitchen is cleverly designed to house everything you might need to prepare tasty meals. A utility room accessed from outside houses a washing machine and fridge/freezer plus an indoor storage area for bicycles. Stairs wind up to a light-filled landing with characterful cottage doors leading to two lovely, spacious king-size bedrooms, both beautifully styled and served by the well-equipped family bathroom. Outside, just across your leafy driveway you'll find a fully enclosed, south-facing garden, backed by woodland, with a patio with outdoor furniture and a lawn, where children and pets can play safely. Pets also have their own outdoor warm water shower and you can find comfortable cushions to enjoy outside stored within the front porch. From 10am to 12 noon June to September (weather dependent) you also have use of the beautiful on-site heated swimming pool, which sits within its own walled garden and is full depth.
