Lovely, thoughtful owners. Delicious cream tea with homemade scones and jam waiting for us on arrival. Enjoyed sitting in the garden and meeting the chickens that laid the eggs for us too. Beautiful area, we found lots to do.

Jane and Jeff were the perfect hosts. Piquet View is a real home from home, with everything you need. A really comfy bed, and quality furniture that you would be happy to have at home. A bonus to be able to sit in their beautiful garden, or summerhouse. Very easy to find, and safe off road parking.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Picquet View. We were welcomed on arrival by the owners, Jane & Jeff, who were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, though never encroached on our privacy. Once inside the accommodation, the welcome continued with fresh scones, clotted cream, homemade jam and eggs from the chickens who Read morelive at the bottom of the garden. These items were addition to the milk, tea, coffee, biscuits that we have often found at other cottages. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable, with everything we could possibly need in all rooms - kitchen, bedroom, en-suite bathroom, sitting room and utility room. The cottage is set in really lovely front and rear gardens, with furniture and summer-house available for guest use. As for location, it is in a very pretty, peaceful village and ideal for walking and visiting other nearby villages and towns, including Westbury, which had a good range of shops etc and interesting buildings to walk around and see. We also visited lots of other nearby places of interest, including gardens, ruined castles, National Trust properties and a trip up the hill for a closer look at the White Horse and the stunning view. We would definitely recommend staying at this property!! With many thanks, Maggie & Rod. Hide
