Situated in the historic village of Warton, you will find both traditional pubs and a brewery close of the property. Head off on foot and take a walk along the Leighton Moss nature reserve, accessed via the nature reserve, 0.5 miles away. If you fancy taking to the water, visit Pine Lake (1.5 miles) where you can try out water skiing or take it easy on a canoe or paddleboard. The historic city of Lancaster (9 miles) is brimming with things to do. Visit the medieval castle, the museum, or take a walk in Williamson Park. The Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland are both within 20 miles, where you can challenge yourselves to long hikes and admire the fantastic scenery.
This pretty, stone-built cottage is tucked away in a quiet street and has everything you need for your break. Leave your walking boots in the porch before heading into the lounge. Here you will find comfortable seating and a Smart TV so you can curl up of an evening to watch a film. Adjacent, the kitchen/diner is bright and airy and boasts a warming wood burner to keep your chilly toes and paws warm. The kitchen contains all of cooking equipment required if you decide to eat in. The dining table is set in front of the large window that looks out into the garden. Upstairs, you will find two well-appointed bedrooms, one contains a double bed and the other twin zip-and-link beds. Completing the accommodation is the family bathroom with shower over the bath.
Outside, there is access to a pretty, cottage-style garden which has shared access to just the immediate neighbours. At the end is a lovely raised deck and seating area – a great place to get stuck into a good book. There is on street parking (subject to availability).
