An enticing, Yorkshire retreat, this character-laden cottage is simply perfect for a couple eager to explore the magnificent Yorkshire Dales. Nestled within the picture-postcard town of Hawes, it makes a wonderful, convenient base. Stroll just 25 metres to find independent shops, friendly pubs and various eateries. Amble less than 500 metres to take a tour of the famous Wensleydale Creamery. Also worth visiting while in town is the Dales Countryside Museum. Lace up your walking boots and head 2 miles out of Hawes to see the beautiful Cotter Force Waterfall. Celebrated Aysgarth Falls is 10 miles away and makes a great afternoon out. This renowned beauty spot has been a backdrop to many films and TV programmes, including Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. Step straight in from the street to find yourselves in the gorgeous lounge/diner. With white-washed walls, a flagstone floor and a beam running across the ceiling, this welcoming space overflows with character and charm. Light the wood burner in the inglenook fireplace and snuggle up together on the plush sofa in front of the Smart TV. Choose a book from the shelves or set the wooden table for a romantic dinner for two. Everything you will need to help you whip up meals with the delicious Yorkshire ingredients you have bought in Hawes can be found in the adjoining compact yet stylish kitchen. As night falls, make your way upstairs to the attractive super-king-size bedroom. With a lovely wooden floor, beamed ceiling and plenty of storage, this is a superb place to relax and lay your head throughout your stay. The modern bathroom, which features both a refreshing shower and a bath, is also on the first floor.

What a delightfully renovated cottage. The location is wonderful, the bed comfy, the information in the cottage extensive and super helpful, the kitchen well-equipped. we never go back to the same place as a rule, and are already wondering when we can re-visit this gem. Great chips in the village too.

An outstanding holiday cottage furnished and equipped to a very high standard . This charming little cottage is located only meters from the main market street in Hawes , yet secluded down a close /alley way . All the shops ,restaurants, pubs and coffee shops are all within easy walking distance . The owners have done an excellent job in refurbiRead moreshing this property and have provided everything you'll need for your stay . We particularly like to thank them for all the Books , Local guides and attraction leaflets they provided , which were very useful in planning our days with great suggestions whatever the weather . We can find nothing to fault this property on. In general, as with lots of these beautiful Dales Market towns parking can be difficult particularly on Market day ( Tuesday ) and at the weekends . There are plenty of spaces in Hawes within a short walk . We were lucky enough to be the first guests, and if they continue to maintain the very high standards which we experienced this lovely little cottage will be very popular . Hide
