Situated in a quiet village close to the border with Devon, this delightful Cornish holiday cottage makes a wonderful retreat for couples and smaller families exploring the glorious countryside of both counties. With plenty of room for four guests, the elegantly decorated getaway has been stylishly furnished and sympathetically updated, featuring a welcoming wood burner, timber ceilings, whitewashed stone walls and a cheerful conservatory-style porch. Ideal for walkers, nature spotters, cyclists and history buffs, this fresh and spacious bolthole sits within easy reach of Bodmin Moor, the Tamar Valley and a tranquil stretch of the South Cornwall coast.

Entering the property, the small furnished porch makes a lovely spot for a morning coffee. Heading through, the bright and airy lounge/diner has a Smart TV, ample seating, a welcoming wood burner and a dining table to one side. Beyond this, the there is a stylish kitchen with plenty of equipment and workspace. Heading upstairs, you will find a delightful king-size bedroom decorated in cool neutral shades, and a cosy twin with a whitewashed stone wall and a low-sloping ceiling.  Completing the inside of the property is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Next to the porch, there’s a sheltered seating area opening out onto the garden, providing a relaxing spot for a BBQ or a drink in the evening. The garden has a long lawn with an array of mature trees and hedges. There’s also plenty of private off-road parking for two cars.

The quiet village of Pensilva lies just north-east of the cheerful market town of Liskeard (4 miles), and south of the stunning Bodmin Moor (3 miles). The Tamar Valley National Landscape is to the west (10 miles) and the picturesque coastal resort of Looe is to the south (13 miles). Also nearby are Port Eliot Gardens, Porfell Wildlife Park and Carnglaze Caverns, all within 13 miles.

A lovely cottage . We rented between Christmas and new year and found the cottage warm and welcoming . It had everything we needed . We were a party of 4 adults a baby and two dogs and managed in the space really well .

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Having off road parking was a bonus. The garden was a good size and, although not totally secure for dogs, our dog really enjoyed it. The owner was great with communication and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

This is a lovely place to stay. The cottage is cozy but has everything you need and has been decorated to a high standard. The owners were great with communication and the gifts for us and our dog on arrival were very thoughtful. Its a great base for exploring the south and west coast, and there is a great place to walk your dog a 10 minute walk frRead moreom the cottage. There are some very thoughtful touches in the cottage , sensor lights on the stairs and two rechargeable torches . The front porch/conservatory is a lovely sun trap to have your morning coffee in. We really enjoyed our stay here. Hide

We have just got home from a fabulous holiday in Cornwall. The cottage was perfect and has everything you need it really is home from home the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome we had a cream tea waiting for us when we arrived and there were even treats for our dog any questions or queries were resolved almost immediately. The vRead moreillage is so quiet and you can easily get to most places within 30 mins to an hour. Would recommend and would not hesitate to book again. Hide

I spent a wonderful week in this charming countryside cottage. The place is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature perfect for relaxation and unwinding. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and very cozy, with magical evenings by the fireplace. The area has a lovely rural charm, and the friendly neighbors made it feel even more welcoming. Lovely little cottage, immaculately clean and everything we needed for a very relaxing holiday. Pretty garden and lots of nice walks around the village and across the nearby moors. Plenty to do and see in the surrounding area.

My husband and I plus our 2 dogs spent 7 days at Zona cottage, the cottage was well equipped with everything we could possibly need, it was lovely and clean. It was a perfect base for us to explore Cornwall. The owner emailed us prior to our visit to check if there might be anything we might need while at the cottage. When we arrived Kathryn the owRead morener welcomed us, we appreciated the extra touches, the lovely cream tea and dog blankets and biscuits for the dogs, everything to make a tea or coffee, even washing powder incase we wanted to do some washing. I would highly recommend a stay at Zona cottage, our host was lovely. It was a perfect home away from home. Hide
