Tucked away in the breathtaking Nant Peris, 2 miles from the bustling mountain village of Llanberis, this charming farmhouse is a dream base for a family escape in the heart of Eryri. With views of Crib Goch, next to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) from the property, and trails up Elidir on your doorstep, a location for walking doesn't  get much better. Just a stroll from the property is the park and ride up Yr Wyddfa, with buses taking you to the mountain every 30 minuets. For a less strenuous adventure, hop aboard the Snowdon Mountain Railway (2 miles) and glide up the peak in comfort while soaking up the panoramic views. Visit Llyn Padarn for swimming and watersports in cluding paddleboard and kayak hire. History lovers will enjoy the nearby UNESCO world heritage Slate Quarries and National Slate Museum (2.5 miles), where you can step back in time inside atmospheric Victorian workshops set against the dramatic backdrop of the Dinorwig Quarry. When it’s time to refuel, the village of Llanberis has a good selection of friendly pubs, cafes and shops.

As you arrive at this detached farmhouse, the breathtaking views set the tone for your stay. Step inside, and you'll find a stylish and spacious kitchen, well-equipped for chefs to cook up a storm. Gather around the dining table to enjoy delicious meals while planning the next day's adventures. After a day of discovery, relax on one of the inviting sofas in the cosy lounge, where the warmth of the wood burner and a Smart TV create the perfect setting for relaxed evenings. For more action, head to the games room for movie nights, gaming sessions or a round of table football. A sleek wet room rounds off the ground floor. When it's time to turn in, head upstairs, where you'll find three beautifully presented bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful night's sleep. Wake to lovely views from every room, choosing from the king-size bedroom with dual-aspect windows, a super-king-size zip-and-link bed room with mountain vistas, or the peaceful twin. A gleaming family bathroom rounds off the first floor, featuring a freestanding bath and a large walk-in shower. There’s even a utility area within the bathroom, home to a washing machine for added convenience.

Step outside into the enclosed garden to soak in the stunning mountain views from the patio, dine alfresco around the table with the charcoal BBQ or simply unwind from sunrise to sunset. Kids (and big kids) can enjoy a kickabout in the side garden. Set on a working farm, this tranquil escape offers an authentic taste of rural life, with the owners nearby to ensure everything runs smoothly while fully respecting your privacy. Great to have a fully enclosed garden for the dogs, it was very steep, but useful that it went all around the house. Internally the souse was lovely, bedrooms very big and very comfortable. Good Wifi. Bit off the beaten track, but easy to get to Llanberis in the car. Stunning scenery from the house. Spotlessly clean house, great to have the two livRead moreing rooms for our purposes. Beautiful house in the most amazing setting, very clean and the perfect base for anyone wanting to explore the Welsh mountains and all it has to offer. Right on the edge of some amazing hikes and looking out at the most beautiful scene of mount Snowdon (we hiked Snowdon and could see the house from one of the paths). On arrival we had been proviRead moreded with milk, fruit and Welsh cakes and the owners also dropped off some eggs freshly layed by their chickens that morning - washing up liquid, laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets were also provided! Comfortable beds and the most relaxing reading chair on the landing looking out over Snowdon (so comfortable I found the chair online and have brought one for myself). Brilliant holiday made even more special by having such an amazing place to stay - will definitely be back. Hide
