Kids will love exploring the sand dunes and rock pools, while grown-ups can explore the area’s many independent shops, surf schools and friendly pubs and restaurants. In Ilfracombe (5 miles), you can board a boat trip to the unspoilt Lundy or perhaps book a scenic cruise along the stunning coastline. If you're keen for a good leg stretch, join the coast path at Woolacombe and follow it along to dramatic beauty spots like Baggy Point Cliffs (7 miles) and Morte Point (2.5 miles), both National Trust sites with unforgettable views and wild, crashing waves.
