At a glance

  • A cosy cottage set in the delightful village Little Haven, on the Pembrokeshire coast
  • Bask in the Welsh summer sunshine and dine under the stars on your private lawn
  • Fire up the wood burner on the colder days after walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
Property code: OC-I31766

With its two cosy bedrooms, this charming stone bolthole in Little Haven is just the ticket for couples or small families seeking a coastal getaway – and the dog is very welcome, too! The village centre and beach are just a short walk away, so you can easily wander down for a dip in the sea or a refreshing ice lolly. At low tide, stroll along the sand to neighbouring Broad Haven (0.5 miles) for a leisurely amble. The cottage also makes a great base for trekking adventures along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

On arrival at this characterful seaside retreat, step into the snug and sociable open-plan living area, perfect for lazy mornings and restful evenings. The kitchen has everything you need for fuss-free cooking, while the L-shaped sofa invites you to curl up by the wood burner, perhaps popping a film on the Smart TV. There’s even a desk for if you need to catch up on emails. A light-filled conservatory doubles as a dining room and has garden views – open the doors on sunny days and let the sea air flow in. Upstairs, you’ll have two double bedrooms with sloping ceilings and exposed beams, along with a family bathroom. In sunny weather, your group will love relaxing in the garden, with its gently sloping lawn, picnic bench for al fresco meals and swing to keep little ones entertained. There’s private parking for one car right outside, making access a breeze. Please note, the steps and slope may be less suitable for those with limited mobility.

Pembrokeshire is full of wonderful holiday activities, from scenic cycle rides to water sports like paddleboarding and kayaking. Visit the UK’s tiniest city, St David’s (15.5 miles), for its awe-inspiring cathedral and quirky galleries. Pembroke (14 miles) is fab for a day out with its historic castle, shops and cafés. Or drive to vibrant Tenby (23 miles), which has gorgeous beaches and plenty of family-friendly fun, or investigate the sands and rock pools of Marloes Sands (7 miles).

The cottage is perfect for exploring the area. Theres a nice woodland walk down to Little Haven and the beach, there are lots of nice touches in the cottage and the owners couldnt be more helpful. Highly recommend wandering down to one of the pubs in the evening as the sun goes down, a drink and wander back through the woods - with a torch!

We stayed for 3 nights with our cocker spaniel Luna, just needed a break away. The cottage was just perfect for what we needed. A lovely welcome pack, lots of condiments, foil, coffee, tea, milk, bread and lovely welsh cakes. Would definitely book to stay again. Thank you
