The apartment has a great and unobstructed view over Ambleside and the large windows/balcony make the most of this. We found the beds comfortable and the apartment warm. The location is close enough to Ambleside that you can walk in but it is a bit of a hike to get back. The prepared meals whilst at the cottage and the kitchen was sufficiently equiRead morepped for what we needed. It is an apartment and there's other apartments above and below. Generally, we didn't hear much noise from our neighbours. We could, however, hear the creaky floor as the people above us moved around. We had an issue with the plumbing whilst we were at the property. Holiday cottages did a great job of keeping us informed and took resolving the issue seriously. However, the issue did take a few days to resolve. Hide

The apartment was lovely and just as described, but the views exceeded our expectations. It was flooded with light even in December. It was warm, cosy and well equipped. The walk up the hill from Ambleside wasn't an issue, but anyone with mobility issues would struggle. However there is a carpark at the bottom.

We were two couples spending a week in this apartment. Although comfortable and warm and well equipped the apartment is definitely in need of updating as it felt very tired.

Despite the forecast we got out every day to explore the area using public transport. The accommodation was ideal, warm, spacious and well equiped with magnificent views (clouds permitting!). The uphill walk back from the town centre is well worth the effort.

Ambleside View is a very pleasant modern apartment, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the dining and living rooms have a splendid view over Ambleside to the hills beyond. The centre of Ambleside is a 10 - 15 minute walk away, (with a steep climb on the return!), and it is a great centre for walking. The parking space is a bit awkward to mRead moreanoeuvre into and out of, if the other spaces are all occupied, but possible with care and some to-and-fro. We would be happy to stay there again. This flat is part of 1960s block. It was spacious, but could do with some updating. The balcony provides excellent views over Ambleside. The block is noisy though oweing to the fact that this is a 1st floor flat.

Good location if you want to be close to Ambleside. Although if walking some people may find the steep walk back challenging. Parking wasn't an issue for me as I visited during a quiet period but could be an issue at busier times if your not in a small hatchback. Flat was clean and well equipped with an excellent view.
