This was a beautiful, comfortable and peaceful place to stay. We stayed as a group of friends for the weekend. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was really well stocked with equipment. The location is very peaceful and still extremely convenient to get to Keswick by car or bus. Wow what a great property. We were due to stay in an alternative property but due to boiler issues we had to swap on the day of our holiday. Thankfully this property was available at a reduced rate and we couldn't have been happier. If you want comfort, space and elegance then this property is for you. It is furnished really nicely and has all the Read moreequipment you could need. The sunroom on the back is wonderful, we spent every evening in there watching the birds on the feeders and the couple of voles clearing up the dropped seed. The birds loved having a little drink from the water feature. The views from the garden are lovely. It is in a very quiet area, just the owls at night to listen to. I can safely say in twenty odd years, this was the best property we've stayed in. Sadly at full price it is a little over our budget otherwise we would return again and again! Hide

Leethwaite Cottage We stayed here a few quiet days, tucked into the hills where the track felt like a path back in time like the roads at White Cross Bay in the late '70s. Familiar in that soft, childhood way. We sat for hours in the garden room, watching birds flit between branches robins, finches. Beds where comfy and it was lovely and relaxing.Read more The area was quiet away from the crowds in a nice Hamlet. Walking down to Braithwaite lake in the mornings for a little swim or paddle. Hide

Wonderful house. Very clean and good quality furniture. Great location with beautiful views and a short safe walk to the lake. Very pretty garden with a little road noise, but the A66 can be heard from everywhere round Bassenthwaite! Plenty of space to spread out on a rainy day. Couldnt have wished for a better house.
