This is a perfect apartment for those wanting to be in the heart of Ambleside; ideal for a couple looking for a cosy retreat whilst having the benefit of walking trails, shops, pubs and a wide choice of restaurants all nearby. Fantastic Lake District walks are easily reached from the apartment, as are all the water sports that the lake has to offer. Ambleside is at the northern end of Lake Windermere, England's longest lake, and is surrounded by rolling fells and offers access to the higher mountain tops. You can find plenty of places along the shores of Lake Windermere to try your hand at windsurfing, paddle boarding or canoeing. Plan a 4-mile walk to Grasmere then stop for a cup of tea and a slice of gingerbread before heading home.

This contemporary home-from-home is approached up a steep access drive, to a level patio area where you can enjoy views across the rooftops to the fells. On entry, notice the welcoming decor and airy rooms thanks to the large windows framing delightful Lake District views. Walk up the stairs and into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – the social heart of the home. After days of adventure, unwind in the lounge space, lighting the open fire, flicking on the Smart TV, and relaxing in the cosy seating. When stomachs start to rumble, lay the wooden table nearby and head to the well-appointed kitchen at the back of the room. Find all you need in this stylish space to whip up memorable holiday meals, perhaps using the local ingredients you sourced earlier in the day. After a peaceful evening together, walk through to the attractive double bedroom with chic decor and more tranquil views of the surrounding countryside.
Outside and up some stairs, take a moment to relax, perhaps with a morning brew, in the shared garden and patio area. With outdoor furniture provided, this is a splendid spot for an al fresco evening meal.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lovely view. Kitchen very well equipped and the bathroom appeared newly fitted to a high standard. Comfortable bed and sufficient bedroom storage.

A lovely comfortable place to stay in the heart of Ambleside. Lots of great walks nearby and the pier is not too far away. The cottage is well maintained with everything that is needed provided. The only downside is the noise from the Temperance Inn opposite which is particularly noisy on Friday and Saturday nights until about 12. This was our second stay at Church View and will not be our last. Very clean and comfortable cottage perfectly placed in Ambleside. Everything you could need is supplied in a well designed kitchen area. Bed comfortable. Views from windows amazing. Parking to unload good and the parking permit very good. Highly recommend a stay here

Very comfortable relaxing property, just what you need when you get back from a hard day on the fells. Very clean spotless apartment which makes all the difference to your holiday. Ideally placed in the middle of Ambleside so you can walk to shops, pubs and restaurants.

The apartment is well located to visit the Lake District, close to the town centre with good restaurants and shops. Tesco Express is just round the corner. Property is spacious but the bedroom is a disappointment, there is little room between the bed and the wall, which may not suit some people. Our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by the deafenRead moreing live music including sing along coming from the Temperance Inn on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm to around 11.30pm. We have stayed in this property a few times now and really like it. The upgrade to the shower room was very much appreciated. We shall be looking to book for next year :-)

This flat was warm, central and very well equipped- a perfect getaway for resting, walking and cycling. Do note that there are stairs to the flat once inside. It is well situated for all amenities in Ambleside, id have no hesitation recommending or returning
